I've been using the vision egos for about a year now and I am starting to get a bit annoyed with them. Especially the re build able ones they always seem to come apart at the base and leak, or taste burnt for no reason. So I am looking for another type of clearomiser. Can anyone suggest?
The batteries I use are: Riva 1100 Ego 650 Ego passthrough
Might get another battery too, my riva is working really well but I've owned quite a few so know they can die at any moment and my passthrough seems to burn a lot of the time.

I'm a nova fan - mini nova on yours. I got an evod recently, which I think is pretty, has lots of vapour, a bit less taste than the novas, and may be more reliable.

Ditto, if you are used to, but annoyed by the vision egos, you will love these.

I also have a protank. Even more vapour than the evod, even less taste, whistles like an express train. Might be improved by blocking up some holes, but occasionally I like clouds of vapour.
If you are happy with a big tank, the nova with dual coil is very good (you can put a dual coil in a mini nova, but it doesn't leave much room for juice). Also very thirsty.

iClear16 is currently top of my faves list, well at the moment until I find something else I like even better Not convinced I've found 'the one' yet. The purple ones work best eh? Would look really good on my stainless steel spinner

I have 11 lol The most impressive thing about them for me, is I've been running one for 2months with about 2ml of fluid through it a day and I still haven't had to replace the head I did rinse it once, because it started to taste overly sweet, but then it was fine again. I have stopped experimenting, which from a serial clearo buyer like me, is a serious statement

I'm a nova fan - mini nova on yours. I got an evod recently, which I think is pretty, has lots of vapour, a bit less taste than the novas, and may be more reliable. Fascinating. My experience says the genuine Vision Mini Vivi Nova is the single most reliable clearomiser(s) I have. No leaks, no fuss, no juice in the tip...it's the Ronseal of clearos. I get juice in the tip of iClear16s (Innokin) and whilst I love the evod, it's not very good half-empty or on it's side in the vape case. My personal take on the Kanger Protank is that on a physically big enough device with enough power, it's the King. However, the chances of seeing me with one on a regular battery is ZERO. Read it and weep. I'm putting 4.3+ volts through it to get the super-vape! Anything less, it's a air-fest.1.8 Nova on a Riva or standard eGo. No question in my mind.

Hmm, I'm going through a crisis of confidence at the moment, as we all do from time to time. I started with clearos until I had a spate of leaking and naff heads (all genuine). I then moved to a mini Nova, but find the taste muted and a quite soft draw - I've tried all the different atty heads, and not found one that gives me the combination of flavour and TH that I want. So I moved onto a Nova - better taste, loads of vapour, but still a bit muted. So next stage was reverting to cartos, first in a DCT (which I love, and use the majority of the time with my own version of VC in it). But even this has started eating cartos recently, perhaps I just have a duff box. I also have a couple of XL cartos which I just fill and chuck on a driptip, and this give as much more 'natural' flavour, and bags of vapour. Now considering going down the RBA route, although the thought of making my own coils fills me with some considerable trepidation. I haven't gone down the path of the Evod, and haven't tried any of the Kanger clearos, mainly because I have spare heads for my Novas and can't countenance the extra expenditure of stocking up on replacement heads for Kangers. So, in conclusion, my favourite vape is currently my original DCT (from VE) with a Boge pre-punched carto - usually lasts about 10 days with all-day usage, and gives me the best mix of flavour, vapour, and frugality. That probably doesn't help at all, but it's very cathartic getting it off my chest! Andy

You're probably right djs and I'm being unduly hard on my mini novas. I had four (all genuine), one broke in my pocket a few days back, and one leaks, which isn't bad for over 7 months of ill-treatment. My two full-size have been fine. But I don't turn any of them upside down, whereas the evod (still very new) doesn't seem to care how I leave it. I suspect there is a lot of variation between protanks. If I turn up the power on mine, the first taste I get is burnt juice. I should try re-wicking it.
