Right, so you poor beggers voted me in as ECCA's forum representative. Obviously I haven't a clue what I am supposed to be doing yet, but if you have any questions or suggestions, I'll listen and pretend I know what I'm talking about.. No seriously, obviously I'm here to put your views forward and I now have access to ECCA's committee forum, so I have help and can put your views forward to the others. Anything you want to add, if you think something is wrong with ECCA, any questions about ECCA? Umm, or anything else you can come up with. AIUI, ECCA is run by amateurs to help the consumer, not the retailer. So if you have a problem with a retailer, we can help you sort it through. I'm interested in hearing any of your thoughts, no matter how dark, or bright! EDIT OH yes, anything I write outside of the ECCA sub forum is my own opinion and nothing to do with ECCA

Well done womble. Question for you. Is the ecca a non profit company? Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 Yep checked, totally non profit, no one gets paid, everyone is a volunteer. Thankyou for your question. Hopefully through all of your questions, we can all find more out about ecca. What it was and what it is being turned into.

It's not what would be generally regarded as a company because its not involved in any kind of trading. It's an association, which for legal purposes has incorperated in order to gain an identity in law.

I've owned companies that have never traded, were they companies? It's a Ltd company, live with it. What's your problem with it being a company anyway?

Ok, here's a question. As ECCA is our consumer association, I would like to know if it would be appropriate for them to ask the trade association (ECITA is it?? ) whether vendors, or indeed manufacturers, could start providing instruction leaflets or manuals for the devices they sell. Only yesterday we had some poor bloke who was a complete noob, unable to switch his new device on. I think it is poor selling standards not to.

Only yesterday we had some poor bloke who was a complete noob, unable to switch his new device on. I think it is poor selling standards not to. That is a good question. In case you didn't know. Ecca is in a state of flux atm, new people coming in (me included ), a new stance and wanting to plow it's own furrow in the vaping world, we've also got a new website coming and other stuff. It seems to me that it would be appropriate for ecca to ask suppliers to supply better documentation. Some do already, some don't. Atm, as everyone @ ecca is so busy setting all the new stuff up, I can tell you a whole vendor wide action isn't going to happen. However, obviously ecca would want to hear of any vendor which does not supply documentation up to scratch. There is a problem here, in that, in cheap electrical goods in general, we have come used to no, or terrible documentation. Ecigs are no different. You pay more, generally you get better support. But, there is no reason why this isn't something we can push for. To start with, I'd like to ask anyone with any direct experiences to contact me, I can then take it to the committee and see what the thoughts are. Dolly atm, I am trying to feel my way through an obstacle course blindfold, so I also welcome anyone pointing out any errors I might make. If you don't agree with me, that's fine. I am your spokesperson, I will make it my aim to concentrate on what you, the vaping folk of AAEC, deem most important.

I got no problem womble I just put this through as a question to set you on your way and maybe something that could be addressed in the future once you are all up and running so to speak, and being the organisation for the rights and well being of the consumer in the ECIG world, this just one of the multitude of things that could be looked at.
