Seems a bit odd that the two posts are so close together. On the Phoenix guides I've had a quick look at, there's a larger distance between them. It`s a bit fiddly, but you can get two coils in there I get mine pre made from vaporbreak. The flavour and vapor is excellent Click for a bigger pic

I should have ordered some coils. I'm learning the hard way here!! I tried making one, seemed ok with the dry burn but all I got in the end was spitting juice and tiny amounts of vapour. I've put it to one side now for another try tomorrow. I shall not be defeated!!

I wasnt impressed with the coil that came in mine, the tails were way too short so put two pre made ones in. Much easier to work with pre made ones in such a tiny atomizer

I was getting strange resistance readings with the fitted coil. I think the spitting juice on my first DIY coil may have been not wrapping wire onto the wick tight enough. I could hold the wick at the end and pull it through too easily.

isnt that the stuff that turns to dust in the kitchen cabinet? add it to meat and things bubbling on oven top? i have no idea ! Like I said I'm sorry I'm so dumb but on the link for the Phoenix V5 it says "For Dry Herb And e Liquid" I wondered what the dry herb was.. That has to be a mistake from Vaporbreak, not for the first time It`s just e liquid

I'm getting used to mine now, got a huge throat hit, masses of vapour and a great taste. I think I put too much juice in at the beginning, causing a bit of gurgling. Going to take mine down to the Carlisle meet and see if someone can show me how to re-wick properly. I like the idea of double coils.

Yes, if you put too much liquid in the coil is sitting in the liquid and cant vape properly. Mine came setup with the coil more or less on the floor of the dripper, they need tweaked upwards a bit snapper

Thanks again for the link Robby.

I stared at the kayfuns on cloud9 for about an hour...in the end I just couldn't do it... Waiting for me when I got home was my new phoenix I ditchhed the coil it came with and my first attempted wrap is 1.6ohms producing good vapour and nice flavour. Beats the octopus rda and I'm happy that I resisted the Russian shiney

Woot! Just managed to make another coil with 2mm silica, 1.3? again. Tasted a bit weird at first, probably because of the fresh wick but now vapour production decent and flavour excellent The silence of it is eerie compared to cartos and clearos. Is it normal for it to get quite hot? The Vamo in turn gets quite warm at the top too.

It`s a bit fiddly, but... A BIT FIDDLY??? Took me damn near an hour to get a working coil on that thing, it's tiny! Didn't help that I didn't get an allen key with it, fortunately I found one of the right size. I finally got it set up at 1.4 Ohms, whacked it on the shiny new Omega mod I got at the same time... The vapour was pants, it needed a 6..8 second drag to get even a reasonable hit After a bit of fiddling around with a multimeter and a VAMO I finally worked out that the 'protection' in my SenyBor SYB-18650R must have been kicking in and restricting the current, so I ripped off the circuit board and wow, this thing vapes like a train now! I think its time I sprung for some decent high output 18650's. If you have great eyesight and a steady hand, this thing is superb. I hope this coil lasts a while, not looking forward to fitting another, maybe it's time for new glasses... Paul.

I like it, bit worried about the life of the o rings though. Original coil was worse than useless, got two coils in there though in about 10 minutes. The holes for the wires are tiny, but you can get two in each post, one from each side The premade coils are so handy for double coiling.
