done newquay and st ives area to death and always said i would like to go mingle with the oap`s at some point ///lmao

You are braver than me then. I live about 20 mins from St Ives and about 30 mins from New quay and avoid both like the plague during the summer. Last time I went to St Ives was for the local MP's sons 18th birthday meal.

i got a real soft spot for carbis bay beach :-d

love to make my way to st ives perrenporth is my usuall base to explore ..also in recent years took to falmouth
all will be busy in summer weeks days

All along the cost to Teignmouth is rather stunning. Or another place that is quite near is Dartmoor, I spend  a lot of time on the moor letterboxing and the views are amazing. Here is a link to some badly taken pics of the moor www.colin-masters.com/dartmoor/letterboxing/index.php/other/dartmoor-gallery There are a couple of main roads that run across the moor which you can drive and get the views without leaving the car. Also the is a darn good pub at widecombe in the moor which deos the biggest mixed grill I have seen.

Also Dartmouth is worth a visit, its a very pretty little town, and the boat ride up the river is worth doing.

don't know if you can do about 3-4 steps but if you can the ferry trips are wicked and cheap at the moment, they will help you down the few steps onto the boat if need be,

or there's the steam train to Dartmouth that fun they do one called the round robin...
