You just reminded me of my late mother Rom. Any books I got for Christmas were immediately taken away to be given brown paper wrappers and God help me if I made the slightest mark in one. I had the smartest Beano annuals of any kid I knew

I put my Christmas Tree up 6 weeks before the 25th, my sneaky move is when the relatives come around and see a tree with nothing underneath they tend to buy presents just for something to go under it so double whammy come Christmas

As for wrapping the presents, well if they don't have all the same design then they don't go under the tree until they do, so when the relatives come around and give presents the first thing i do is un-wrap them and put the same paper as mine

My aunt used to iron pound notes, she was buggered when the pound coin came out
