I hope ECCAs intentions are good, but particular manoeuvring does promote suspicion. I can promise you ECCAs intentions are very good. As anyone would tell you who knows me, I wouldn't be involved if it were any other way. By "good", I mean good for the consumer, not for ECCA. It needs to be discussed what ecca does in the event of something like this happening. Don't forget ECCA is still feeling it's way into being the new ECCA, as each new situation comes up, it will be dealt with, sometimes ecca will make a mistake and we have you good people to tell them (via me if you like) that you think a mistake has been made. Obviously ecca can't please everyone all the time, but I promise that every well made point will be considered. I tend to lean towards Jasons argument. Surely it's only a TS issue if any vendors are found to be not implementing their recall procedure. But, I think ecca needs to take more advice from TS and maybe others to decide the right thing to do.
