Hi Gang, my protank is getting rather hot, definately more than it has done in the few weeks I have had it, on both a vamo and spinner, no to high settings on either has worked ok till today. Excuse my daft question but does that simple means it needs a new head or re-wicking/ coilling etc, or something more sinister ? Not having much luck with my tanks at the mo.

Have you tried a new head in it Lynxkat? It could be something as simple as that, that just needs doing if you've been using the current one for a couple of weeks now.

Pop your used one in a denture tablet bath, if you have them Lynxkat . . . leave overnight, rinse and then dry out. It helps give the heads an extra little lease of life.

Thanks for that Perpetua, I shall swap heads (not my own, the protank's) and put the hot one in a denture soak, I bought some of them to clean my evod heads. Thank you.

You're very welcome Lynxkat . . . wouldn't it be lovely if we could do that with our own heads, mine could do with a de-clag most days.
