Looks like a clone Vivi Nova to me - I think, personally, I'd rather go for the real Vision version. The mini nova clone I had conked out fairly quickly

Difficult to know whether they are ' genuine ' Nova's or not Susie, I'd suspect not. I'd be more inclined to buy from a Vendor who I know stocks the real thing for a few pounds more, even though they've sold 48. Unless you want to get into rewicking, it may not be so easy to obtain replacement heads.

Unless you want to get into rewicking, it may not be so easy to obtain replacement heads. I would get one because they are great, when they work, and don't leak, but unless you can re-wick ( and I myself can not at present, I had a go and Ian sacked me) then as Perpetua says it will not cost much more to get a genuine one for sure, from a trusted vendor, many on here. I am not saying the Ebay Seller's are not genuine, but looked at his feedback and all "Private" so one can not see just what his clients are happy with, be they Nova's or not. If you get my drift.

I have one, and it is really good, but when it eventually worn out as they do, I was kindly given two spare heads at the Carlisle meet by Ian and Di, but both new spare heads leaked shortly afterwards. Ian also re-wicked the original head, which I am using now and it is fine.
I think that's what people mean when they say you need to know how to re-wick/coil etc, if it works when you get it, when it gives up, not all replacement wicks/coils may fit, you may simply have to re-wick/coil the one that came with it. I had this problem, just yesterday.
If I am wrong some one will correct me, but that's my understanding, get a real one, I like them.

Have you tried Evods at all Susie? I love them. It is also very easy to put new heads in. You can recoil if you like too, but I'm not into that as yet.

Hope they will be ok on my Riva I am extremely uncomfortable with anything to do with DIY and will be using non rebuildables for as long as I can I'd be inclined to see if you can swap the SR's for LR's Susi, they'll be fine on your Riva and give you a better performing vape. As Dolly says the Evod's give a very nice flavoursome vape . . . replacement heads are available and are super easy to just screw out and pop a new one in. Although I can incredibly re-build stuff as I'm not remotely technical and struggle changing a plug, but I'm quite a lazy vaper so if there's a ready made coil option then I'm happy to take it. Never say never though, in a few months time you might be amazed at your new found knowledge and skills!

Whats the difference between an sr and an lr? thanks SR = Standard Resistance Susie normally around the 2.4ohm mark, LR = Low Resistance, normally around 1.8ohm. The lower the number, the more of a ' punch ' your vape will have and mimic the smoking sensation better. Though a LR coil will drain your battery a little quicker. But the rating does peak off after a little use.
