I spent a week in a nudist camp when I was about 22. After the initial fit of the giggles, I was actually surprised by how relaxing it was. Only time I got upset was because a guy was standing behind me obviously eyeing me up. When I finally turned to glare at him, he coughed politely, pointed at my bum and said "think you should watch that." I'm glad my sarcy reply wasn't fully formulated .... I had been wearing a bikini most of the summer (was living on Sicily) and so most of my skin was used to the sun .... not by behind however, which was going a kind of nuclear red ....... Not the best place for sunburn Amusing experiences did I admit abound ... Tennis, is perhaps best played with clothes on, at least for the spectators benefit ... and jogging .... The weirdest thing though was the little supermarket ... shopping for veggies in the nude is just weird

forgot about hedgehogs ... guess I'll have to call it off then (Cruelty to animals is frowned upon ... even if I avoid stepping on them ... they will probably need serious therapy to forget the trauma ) Also ensure any thistles, stones and other pointy objects are cleared away before attempting said nekkid dancing. What's the betting there's a hedgehog counsellor somewhere? This induces a deeply exsistential question ...... are you still nakie if you are wearing shoes?????

Ripped hell out of me extensor tendons on me right foot doing karate in me 20's - and meant Tendonitis to the point that if i kicked a ball back to kids i might not be able to walk without a limp for a week. When i moved up to Hull a locum Dr suggested trying going barefoot - as it would strengthen the muscles in me foot and thereby give added support to the tendons. It worked and can even climb trees again! Then following a RTA - the muscle in the lower part of me right eye had slackened - leaving me with effectively double vision for 18 months. The consultant stated that as they can't as yet tighten eye muscles, that they would operate om my good left eye to slacken the muscles and thereby achieve balance. To me this was like going into a garage with dodgy steering and the mechanic saying that it was due to a tight wheel and a loose wheel - and suggesting loosening the tight wheel. So - with nothing to lose so to speak - decided to try going barefoot - cut me feet a few times ('twice' as many feet and 'double' the apparent glass to avoid ) - and ended up not needing the op. The consultant was surprised but did end up admitting that it was possible the best course of action i could have taken - foolhardy maybe - but that he could never recommend it as he'd get sued the 1st time folk cut themselves LoL So, for me at least, going Barefoot IS sensible! NB It should be noted that i wouldn't have dreamed of going Barefoot post RTA if i hadn't already had experience - i just had to relearn how to do it within the limitations of the double vision This is a great 'How to' vid BTW

How did walking barefoot correct an eye problem? Because you had to pay more attention to where you walked? That's amazing I happily walk barefoot around my house/indoors, but was massively put off doing it outside by an incident in my teens. My cat at the time was a proper mouser and had left me a little present just in front of the patio step where I couldn't see it as I strode outside all unwary...I'll never forget that nasty little crunch! It still makes me shudder to remember it. Gah!!

Oh dear - poor Jen Eye muscles are generally 'lazy' - they will only exercise if we make them. The best way is to continually change focus - looking down (looking for glass etc) looking up (to check i'm not going to bump into owt) constantly exercises the muscle. Generally i'm using me periphery vision - and keeping my head straight - and that was exactly the right exercise i needed to be doing at the time. Figured if it was a choice between me cutting me feet or them cutting into me good eye - it was a no brainer to at least give it a go
