Well just spent 2 days at work and during that time my Riva started to taste quite metallic - this progressively got worse despite cleaning, trying new carts a bit of direct dripping in case the atty was drying out somehow and just about anything else I could think of.
Eventually I got fed up of my mouth tasting like I was eating coins and. . . . . . . . put a new atomiser on.
Behold. . . . verily the Gods did smile upon my Riva and again the world was good and tasty.
I was actually speechless at the difference it made - this was my first atty change and I was shocked to realise that i hadn't noticed the deterioration in taste and quality (the juice I was vaping at the time was actually a bit vanilla sweet and I was half way through a 5ml bottle and had never noticed)
The atty was about 5 weeks old - maybe just over, is this about the shelf life or should they last longer? I figure it must have been on the decline for about a week,
I havent really been doing much maintenence on it just cleaning with tissue occasionally and maybe a dry burn to clean off the residue very occasionally. could I/should I have done/been doing more? is there any way to salvage the atty I'm sure I read somewhere there may be a way.
(p.s I bought a few samples from Paradise vapes to try out and one of them happened to be mary jane flavour :-) an effort to connect to my younger days maybe? lol, anyway its absoloutely horrible so if anyone wants it feel free I was thinking it could stand in for the pizza one rochie had until he re stocks)
Cheers all
Kris

Kris, 5 weeks form an attie is good going Some may last longer, others much less time. Basically though, if they do keep going, after about 2 weeks they do start to wimp out. You could try boiling the attie but IMHO once they start to go they are soon as good as gone. Re your Mary Jane juice - pop it into our classified & swaps section, either for trade or you could offer it on the PIF thread

5 weeks is excellent for an atomiser. I would say 2 is more the norm, but obviously it will depend on usage and the type/consistency of liquid you put through it.

This is why I switched to cartomizers, they work out cheaper than atomizers and it isn't as disheartening when a 99p carto dies as it is when a £6 atty dies!

I would agree Collie.
I tend to use atomisers more when I am sat around and can do a bit of dripping (still think the flavour and throat hit are the best this way). The rest of the time I use carto's.

They're actually cheaper than 99p when I get them from you Jason lol, I prefer the flavour and the vapour from the carto's and the fact that I now have my pink swirly drip tip so it feels a bit more personalised. I haven't tried dripping yet but I like fuss free vaping, fill the carto and off you go.

Thats the thing about vaping Collie, people have their own favourites and should use the method that suits them best.
Its always good to experiment as well.

Sure you can Kris.
There are singles in the cartomiser section. The Boge 5 packs will be restocked in a few days.
Thanks
Jason

Sorry Kris, we crossed posts The PIF thread is still going but if you prefer, you can start a new thread in the classifieds asking for a swap or even for free. Yes, I still like James' LnB - vape that more than any other flavour

I have his standard cartos and they are very good but if you have a riva I would say get the dual coils as they seem to be much loved around here.

Nice one thanks, Jason - just looking now - will they work on the Riva? if they will can I just pay for a 5 pack and you can just send it when they come in? - I'm also liking the look of the mega cartos will they work on it as well?
Cheers
