try not to dismiss a whole range of flavours due to one negative experience Annie especially if the cherry flavour you tried was made by Hangsen..it's pretty grim

I'm not a tobacco vaper but the ones I see mentioned a lot are "RY4" and "Black Cat" so might be worth giving those a try

At least I have 4 batteries for the VIP cigalike and plenty of cartomiser LOL
So it gives me time and space to experiment a little with the liquid

I am trying to keep an open mind on flavours, it is a bit mind over matter with still being new to all this 

RY4 and black cat noted and will be my next trials if the two I have ordered are not right

Good for you Stick with it Annie, just focus on using it to get the nicotine and keep you off the smokes for now..you'll find the flavours you enjoy soon enough.

My family cannot believe I have given up up the smoking, come to actually think about it neither can I after 48 years of it.
I am over the moon to have *found* vaping and I will crack it, I am definitely not going back to my old ways.

Annie i'm like you in not being a fruit person & i was going to stick to tobacco juice, however i do like cherry flavour eg on foods like cheesecake & black forest gateau so when i ordered my riva kit it came with a 10ml of juice so i chose cherry flavour & when i tried it i nearly gagged as it just reminded me of burning fruit & to me was yukkkk, then after a couple of weeks i got fed up of tobacco all day & i tried some aniseed & some licorice (both from LTecigs) i liked those seperately & mixed together, then i thought mmmm i'll try some watermelon & again yukkkk burning fruit taste & smell, so i've just stuck with tobacco, licorice & aniseed.
Last week as i was browsing flavours i thought i would have another go with a fruit flavour as lots of members on here seem to like fruity flavours, so i tried some banana from joosejuice & at last i have one thats nice, so it is worth experimenting a little as you will find something you like other than tobacco if you try them & quite a few vendors sell 5ml samples so that you aren't wasting too much money or juice if you don't like them, also as other members will tell you don't throw any juice away because you don't like them as a few weeks down the line you may try them & like them its due to tastebuds changing after stopping smoking

The hunt for the right juice is a real problem. Maybe you can find other vapers around (Try the user map) and try what they have? Maybe a vape meet somewhere? Maybe a shop on a highstreet somewhere that offers taste samples? It is worth the time even if it takes an hour to get there.

We vapers are a helpful bunch, I am sure that's the same all over the world.

Tobacco flavoured e-liquid is an obvious first choice, but there is so much more in vaping, you just need to find it.

RY4 is a good place to start, a tobacco flavour with a touch of vanilla/caramel - a tobacco/pudding crossover juice

Don't be disheartened...what might be worth a try is a good coffee/cappucino flavour....sort of slightly sweet but with that bitterness like you'd get from tobacco...

Hi annie50 what flavour is your cigalike ?

I know you say you don't like mint or menthol but some of the ejuice ones are really nice .... I smoked on and off for over 30 years and hated menthol stinkies with a passion.

The reason I ask is when I started vaping I tried several different juices ie tobbaco, coffee, fruitty some were bearable some absolutely disgusting .... then one day I tried Extreme Ice a combination of mint, menthol and wintergreen .... all the things I didn't fancy but after a couple tries it has turned into my main stay and is mixed in the background of most of my mixes now with loads of different fruitty flavours.

If you fancy trying it PM me your addy and I will send you a sample FOC .... am so convinced you will like it I will throw in a new coil for your Evod so you can wash it out if you don't
