I can vouch for the Fasttech greys I'm a bit confused about those Fasttech greys tbh mate ..are you using them in VW devices like the vamo etc or just in mech mods? I was under the impression that ICR batteries were always supposed to have a protection circuit but those grey ones don't. I also thought that for VV/VW devices you wanted a "High Drain" battery which those aren't. ??? Please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought ICR cells were limited to 2 x charge capacity in output drain. So a 900mAh 18350 ICR cell would be limited to 2 x times 900mA or 1.8A (I think the Vamo can go up to 5A ?). Whereas IMR cells are high drain (I think it's 8 x charge capacity.) and touted as being "Safe Chemistry" which I presume means they're a lot less likely to vent.

Whoosh as most of that flew over my head I'm using them in my Vamo and my Evic and they are working great in both

Get from Torchy ... avoid anything with "Fire" in the name
you won't get 18350s more than about 850mah which are accurately rated. Torchy tests his for actual mah

Torchy tests his for actual mah Apart from Torchy who, according to that chart claims 925 mah for his unprotected 18350s lol. I have no problem with trustfire or ultrafire, their reputation damage mainly came from unscrupulous sellers on ebay selling reclaimed rebadged laptop batteries and selling unprotected batteries as protected in their name . I just avoid buying batteries off ebay period unless from someone known like Torchy. For what it's worth, I've been using DealXtreme sourced orange ultrafire 18350s since the mini lavatube came out whenever that was with good vaping performance.

With batteries, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for. AW imr18350 are probably the best suited / safest for vaping use (high drain) but are expensive. Ultrafire are cheap as chips (£3.50 for two from Fastech with free postage) but their reputation for safety is uncertain and their suitability for vaping is limited. In my experience with the Ultrafire 18350, as long as the current discharge is kept under 2 amps they are fine but above that they tend to get hot (watch your low ohms, dual coils, higher voltage set ups etc and try to avoid going over 2 amps). Also remember that if you are using a mechamical mod without built in protection circuitry, use the protected Ultrafires (blue).
