I would go for the SVD. I wouldn't bother with the kits you've linked to the batteries and chargers don't look so good and it's not worth scrimping on them

For me i would go for the SVD but there is a world of difference between the electronic SVD and the mech mod KTS.

I don't think you buy a mech mod unless you like the idea of them and like the look of the mod.
There doesn't seem to be a lot to choose between the SVD and the Vamo. Fastech's Panasonics have been reckoned OK by others on this forum. I can vouch for the intellicharger and the iclear. I think you can pick whichever looks best to you.

Ignore the charger comment above, it doesn't apply to the Vamo kit! Still applies to the KTS kit though!

I'd rather have a Vamo than an SVD I must be honest . . . it's so large even in 18350 mode. Sorry SVD fans.

i do like the look of the KTS, however having only ever used ego style batteries i have no idea about the "advantages" of vv and vw in relation to mech mods Somebody else needs to defend mech mods, I've never really seen the point. I believe the disadvantages are that there is no voltage control, obviously, and when they start to run down you lose power, whereas other gear usually continues at the same level until the battery needs recharging. I think variable voltage (VV) is the bees knees and I wouldn't be without either that or variable wattage (VW). VV lets you dial up the power going to your clearo (or whatever) thus increasing flavour and throat hit, for pretty much any resistance (although if you get too high the juice starts to burn of course). Variable wattage (VW) is a slight improvement on VV because it adjusts the volts automatically to your desired power level, without you having to think about what the resistance of your device is. I use a vamo on VW and an LT on VV equally happily. In practice the main difference between the two for me is that if I change the clearo to a lower resistance one and forget to change the setting, the LT will burn the juice, the vamo won't.

The kts fits inside a purse/handbag/pocket. No buttons to worry about except the fire button - just got one today - teenyweeny in 350 mode n truly excellent! I love the vamo v3 but its very big. If you want handbagability (thats a word i just invented) then kts all the way....

thank you for all your input, rightly or wrongly i have ordered the Vamo V3 kit, how guilty do i feel! Now wondering if i can convince SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) that fast tech pickers must have added it to my order by mistake KTS or similar will have to be for the future. now all i've got to do is wait.
