Hello folks I'm brand new to this forum and still "finding my way around" so please forgive any noob blunders and suchlike. I'm not brand new to vaping though. Well not quite - I now have over five weeks of vaping experience LOL My main PV is an old school eGo (650mAh battery, cone, standard 510 atties & carts) but I have no case or button protector at this time so it stays at home. Due to a lack of savvy about service from different vendors the eGo took something like 8 days to be delivered. That seemed like an eternity since my e juice samples had arrived and I had vaped my intial gifted disposables to death. I had to buy another disposable locally and it was a total rip lol. I couldn't stand this and I wanted some spare atties and carts for when "my precious" finally arrived in any case. I snapped that day and ordered a standard auto 510 kit with next day delivery! I'm a natural hoarder anyway & it turns out I'm even worse with vaping kit Most of the stuff from that kit has ended up supplementing the eGo, but I always charge up the slim batteries when not in use & keep 'em in a handy place. For one thing it's sometimes nice to have an auto batt available. For another I'm sure the slim batts heat the atty more gently and that's sometimes preferable for some subtle juice flavours. Lastly it's discreet, light and very portable so when I don't wanna carry a chunky PV around I can just stick the atty on a little batt. Lastly (I prepare to duck here or at least get gales of laughter) despite getting om well with my 510 things I had been wondering about cartomizers and their usefulnes in certain situations. I had been using carts partly because they came with my kits as standard and partly because I used to be a roll-up smoker and topping-up the cart with juice from time to time gave me a substitute for the process of rolling smokes LOL. I was yo-yoing back & forth in my head about whether to get a pack of 5 510 cartos when I came upon a reduced price 808 carto kit with 10 cartos for les £££ than the 5 pack. I was curious and kinda fancied a backup kit. It's kinda analog-a-like which I'm generally well over but I could ignore that at the price & snapped it up to try. Ok, the prefilled cartos tasted crap compared to my own juices but I'm researching cleaning/refilling methods for them and the price off blank cartos for 808s as well as 510s. Why? Because apart from that eccentric flavour (which was still way better than yucky analog smoke ) I was pleasantly surprised. The battery lasts far longer than I expected vaping away on it for a while and for ages with occasional supplementary use. I top all my batts up before they run out these days due to the evidence that Li-ion batteries last longer that way. I'll charge the 808 once or twice a day according to usage and it keeps enough charge to make at least 3/4 of the vapour that the eGo produces! Really the vapour production and TH of this little system are more than acceptable. Out and about it's less affected by windy conditions than my other auto kit. I tend to slip it in my trouser pocket with the "condom" cap on the carto at the start of the day and since I sometimes get a tad absent minded it has come in very useful on a few occasions. I stand by it as part of my daily vaping kit I am still searching for a core collection of fantastic juices but my favourite flavours so far are a black cherry and a semi-intense cool menthol. I also surprised myself by quite liking a Marlboro scented liquid a few mg/ml stronger than I usually vape that I got as a free sample from a vendor with a little flyer saying that 10ml bottles are still fairly cheap to buy. I usually avoid baccy flavours and I was skeptical about this stuff but I dripped a bit with a little black drip tip that was complimentary from another vendor and actually enjoyed it. The flavour had deep notes and didn't cause unpleasant ciggy associations. The stronger nicotine went well with it and I discovered that vaping smaller hits of strong nic juice makes a pleasant occasional change. The stuff produces close to my ideal TH and vapour volume at the moment. I have an old cart that used to contain a fairly flavourless tobacco juice and I have been refilling it with this free/cheap stuff and vaping it off my slim 510s for a change. I plan to use it eventually for learning to fill 808 cartos. What else? Well I want to get more in to tinkering with liquids (I mixed my fave cherry with a little vanilla recently for a cherry-ripple ice cream effect & liked it for a change ) with a view to one day making my own from as near to scratch as possible. Also I was going to purchase a couple more 650mAh eGo batts and some button protectors to carry them around. First though I got advised to look in to eGo-t batts with the 5-click deactivation as a safer bet. Then I discovered that a really decent vendor (who is a member here - I got the forum link from his site) was selling a complete eGo-t twin starter kit for not much more than I was gonna shell for batts & they were 900mAh batts to boot! Being a bit of kit hoarder as mentioned above I placed an order for that and it's coming soon. Ostensibly mostly for the batts of course but you just know I'm gonna set that tank system up, give it a vape and tinker with it LOL Can't wait for that. Beyond, who knows? I may still be hooked on nicotine but it doesn't bother me now. I feel like I have at least swapped a dirty killer habit for an absorbing hobby shared by a fairly friendly community of like-minded people Hope to see you all around the boards

Hiya ardraven,
Brilliant intro vapeing is prob the best thing i discovered in all honesty i was at first skeptical but then took the plunge and my first kit was a titan 510 which got annoying as constantly needed chargeing but done the job for getting me into the swing of things.
And then like you went over to egos which are brilliant. And now im a proud owner of a GGTB which is an excellent piece of kit.I use DC cartos which you must try at least once i promise you will get hooked lol.i enjoy tobacco thru out the day but love my sweet flavors.
If your after cheap nice juice i would recommend Paradise vape uk - jimmybat (look in suppliers section)
Or freedomvape UK gerodiekev (also in suppliers section)
they both prepare juices on the day you order so they are fresh as fresh can be.
And for DC Cartos try vapeescape VEJason (again head over to suppliers section)
All are excellent suppliers among these forums and i have always had my order next day from these lot.
Anyway sorry for the long welcome lol but welcome to these lovely forums where theres always help i dunno what i would do without this forum.

Hi Ardaven and welcome I also have a 510 kit in the glove compartment of my car. It's rarely used but is always there if I need it. There's also a great section on Mixology here if you have any questions relating to mixing your own e-liquids. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=mixology

Hell and Welcome. I have a standard 510 at the moment and I love it for hanging out of my mouth while i'm busy doing something else but i'm looking at getting a Riva battery and some dual coils for evening vapeing. I can also recommend Jason at Vape escape and James at Paradise vape. Great products and really nice helpful guys and I always get next day delivery with them too.

Thanks for the welcome and suggestions Hello & welcome Ardraven I think we have already met on ECF? Ah, Chrissie you saw through my cunning disguise Not that it's really a disguise lol I just like mixing up the usernames I use in different places as well as the passwords - what I vape & my wordy way of typing would defo need to be disguised more cunningly than that
