Anyone know if I can get a replacement seigeli zmax top cap. Its the one with the press fit 510 connector from the first AAEC zmax group buy, originaly pulled free a couple of weeks after recieving but managed to fix it with advice from macca but a few weeks ago it fell over on the table (had a AGR tank on it) and broke free again but this time cant fix it because the thin ring on the 510 connector that pushes into the top cap has brocken off. Have tried contacting siegeli 3 times but have had no reply. Realy not happy with siegeli, looks like they dont want to know

Try a 510-510 adaptor with nut like this one: www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/510-to-510-adapter.htmlIf you slightly counter bore the bottom side of the cap with a dremel or a end mill upto a couple of mm, you should be able to fit the nut in there comfortably..

Thanks macca, had a similar idea but using a 510 to ego adaptor and made a nut by cutting down and using the threaded part of a 510 atty conector but didnt work out, kept getting shorts. Problem is that when the top cap is screwed down it is a snug fit onto the pcb . Another idea I had was to fill in the top cap well with washers or similar then drilling out and fitting a 510 atty conector, but still on the to try list if I cant get a top cap

Have you tried insulating using a circular piece of thin paper?
That's why I suggested counter boring the center hole to give you the clearance.

Used kapton tape but for some reason would not turn on, thought I had damaged the pcb so rigged it up outside the case but worked ok and have bored out a bit. Did not want to go to far tho in case I think of something else and need some metal there. Never know
