I presume Matt isn't contactable? I've not tried contacting Matt, Dolly. But I have posted on UKV as that is where ECCA have tended to post the most. My donation wasn't a lot more than what they where asking for the car stickers, so no great loss - it's just the principal & the fact they aren't replying to emails My gut feeling is that ECCA have sadly died a death - though I hope to be proved wrong. Probably sitting on a beach somewhere, laughing their heads off..........

Hi all, I picked this thread up yesterday over on UKV after being on holiday for two weeks (and no, that was not funded from the ECCA coffers ) so am still trying to catch up on what has happened whilst I have been away. I am so sorry that people have had problems with the stickers and responses regarding them. We are trying to work out what has happened with the emails. If anyone has had problems, please contact me via the message system here, the ECCA board or UKV, that way it shan't get lost on the board and I will get it directly ( I use tapatalk so the latter two is preferable). Please be reassured that a) nothing insidious has happened with the funds we have and that b) there is always plenty going on behind the scenes, it just does not always translate to things that can be posted on forums and boards. I will post back here as soon as I know more, Thanks, Lorien

We would like to take a moment to explain and apologise for the situation surrounding our stickers as it has caused some obvious discomfort amongst those who have supported us.
As you are aware, we are a group of volunteers who are spending a lot of personal time trying to address the many issues that are facing us presently, alongside supporting consumers with queries on faulty goods and services. These are things we should be doing and are doing.
Some of you donated money to us in good faith and to support the overall campaign for public awareness by displaying one of our stickers in your car. We are very sorry that we fell very short of your expectations when not only did your stickers not arrive, but your emails were not responded to. This was down, in part, to technical issues regarding access to the email account used for this purpose, but is largely down to the simple fact we are normal people trying to balance our work, personal lives and families with all that is required of us here with electronic cigarettes.
Our mistake was not to share the burden of the entire sticker job once the design was finished. The weight fell on one person’s shoulders and most recently (like all of us at some point) family and personal life was significantly more important and so a brief step had to be taken back from their work with ECCA. We respect and understand this. We are a volunteer organisation, not a vast faceless corporate machine and this falling within the school holidays presents extra complications.
Finally, we did not foresee the shortcomings of the current email system and were unaware of the mounting backlog. Please understand that although there is not always a lot of noise coming from ECCA, there is always a lot going on behind the scenes, especially around advocacy. It is tiring and emotionally draining and we do it as we are dedicated to what we believe in. Make no bones about it, we are living and breathing documents, research, letters and FOIs, much to the exasperation of our friends and families. There is more fire in our bellies now even than when we started!
Anyone who has contacted us about stickers will receive them in the next few days as we clear the backlog and we apologise unreservedly for putting you in the position of having to doubt both us and our integrity.
Once again, our apologies, we will be in contact with those affected over the next 48 hours

I feel the same way Chris Matt PM'd me on 30th August saying that "your stickers will be picked up by the postman first thing in the morning."

I would like to further add my personal apology in regards to the stickers.
I apologise for the time it has taken for you to receive your stickers, the personal issues I faced should not have affected the operation of ECCA but due to my actions it did. I don't really want to go into detail on why it has taken so long to get the stickers out to you, but I will hold my hands up and say it was down to me and me alone. My actions were unacceptable and way out of line with what ECCA expects.
We are now taking steps to ensure that if any personal issues arise, it will not effect the day to day running of your association.
I am not asking you to forgive or accept my actions, but simply do not blame ECCA for what has happened.
I can confirm that all stickers have been sent out this morning first class, so should arrive to you by Saturday. If they haven't please contact me personally at matt@eccauk.org and I will get replacements out to you Monday.
ECCA will be returning all donations made for stickers in this period as a gesture of goodwill.
Once again I would like to apologise not only from me but from ECCA too.
Many thanks for your understanding
