Hey Mich, absolutely no problem, we are all here to share. I am glad you like the micro coils, as you can see I am also new to them. Just wanted to point you to the thread as there are several others that have tried it and offer their tips and opinions. Keep us updated. I am using micro coils and cotton wool on all my atties now, I love it

blakey do you have any genius ideas of how to make the air hole smaller, looking for something that is solid and will be a permanent fixture, don't wanna do the mesh way nor the luer lock tip way. Looking for something that will look like it is part of the KFL. Was looking at this and was thinking of sawing a small bit off and then fine sanding it down to make it look better, just don't know yet if it will fit: Test 14 and 18 gauge, too small and too big. www.ltecigs.larsentilbrook.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=63_72&product_id=509If there is nothing than i ain't that bothered and will live with the slight airy feeling

I just use a small piece of mesh rolled up and dipped in juice to make it stay in place when I insert it, then I used a pin to open it up fully inside to make it a tight fit. Did it once way back when I got the lite and haven't touched it since. Works perfectly and its completely Un-noticeable.

You can do the same thing with paper Why paper? When your mesh one falls out at work you have to improvise

A tiny piece of sellotape over the hole and a hole made with the point of a cocktail stick.

Will let you know if they fit!

blakey Your a star, tried the mesh method, took awhile trimming the mesh to get the right amount in there until i found my perfect vape, right in the middle of airy and tight, wow just wow, plus put a new drip tip and it's working better then it was before if that is even possible. I would say right now it's about the same as a Evod for airyness, just right for me. And to make things even better i would not even know it was in there, could not be doing with the Luer way as having a green thingy showing would drive me mad (OCD thingy)

Or any seepage? Maybe I used too much mesh..

Tease-smiley Been playing with my spare kfl over the last few days and I've come to the conclusion that 3mm ekowool is da bomb!! Been using an 18g needle to stop me choking the wick when I wrap the coil, 3 wraps at the top giving 1.7ohms, 7.4w on the evic and im blowing clouds with sh?t loads of flavour! First time I'm really enjoying it to be honest! Regardifng airflow, 16g needle is too big.. so I've resorted to rolling a tiny piece of mesh around a needle and the tightening to fit the hole.. only reduced to probably 1.5mm but I'm loving it! Do need to change it every once in a while as it does soak up a bit of juice, but it takes seconds to replace.. Was going to sell my spare but I've decided to keep it ready for the dutch apple pie when its finished steeping!

My KFL just landed, done my first coil on it using 3mm Ekowool in a figure of 8 and so far it seems to be working perfect. Seen the method in this thread linkHave it on my Evic also, @8w and the flavour is very nice with loads of vaper. So far i dont mind the airy draw, maybe that is because i usually vape a protank which is quite airy already.

You don't need to faffing with a figure of 8 with 3mm ekowool jcolSingle piece just under an inch long works brilliantly and is so much easier to coil and fit!

Was going to sell my spare but I've decided to keep it ready for the dutch apple pie when its finished steeping! For the mesh for the airflow i still use 18 gauge, even though it is still too big i just roll it until it's small enough and very tight in the hole, never had to change it though as i don't get no juice inside the bottom, but i do clean all my parts with Isopropyl which flushes through all my parts on the KFL which will completely remove all juice in the mesh if there was some there. I still use 0.2 Kanthal (Tried the cotton method but run into problems as i don't use the clear tank and cannot 100% see when the juice is run out and last thing i want is to burn the cotton in anyway so i stick to the Ekowool for the KFL) I use this method and it is working great, with 2mm Ekowool
