My lavatube has started playing up where it doesn't always fire when I press the button. I have to find just the right angle on the button to get it to fire. Would a squirt of WD40 do any good or is it on it's way out?? Pamo

It could be a build up of dirt between the switch and the contact pad. The difficulty lies with getting the cleaner behind the button.
A squirt of WD40 won't do any harm but will leave behind a film of it's own oil.
Any light alcohol such as Isopropyl or even vodka would be a better cleaning agent as it will evaporate cleanly.
If that doesn't work disassembly, inspection and cleaning/repair may be of use.

Cheers raid I will chuck some of my mixing vodka on it and see if it is any better. With 8 dogs and 1 parrot things get a little dusty in this house and buttons on things gunk up pretty quickly
