Thank you I can't pretend I understand it all. But hopefully I will do one day It's all about how hot the coil gets that's vapourising the e-liquid. Thats is how I've understood it so far anyway.Your 1.8ohm atomizer heads, on a standard non vv eGo battery, will generate an output of around 7.6watts. A 2.4ohm atomizer head on a standard non vv eGo battery would generate an output of around 5.7watts, so your e-liquid wouldn't taste quite the same. So, to get the same taste from a 2.4ohm atomizer head, you would need around 4.3volts on a vv battery to get the coil to the same temperature as the 1.8ohm atomizer head@3.7volts. Hope that makes sense.
Thank you. So the lower the number ohm, the more watts generated, is that right? ( on a standard ego non vv battery ) To get the same taste on my spinner with a 2.4ohm I would need to turn it up.( because it generates less than a 1.8ohm? ) I just assumed that the lowest number (1.8ohm) would be the weakest. * (crosses fingers and hope I have understood )* dinamic22 we will learn even if I have to show how little knowledge I have about all this.

I keep looking at the threads/posts on watts & ohms but it doesn't sink in It must be my age as i used to be up on most things techy, i'll blame my hair again i must be having a lot of blonde moments

I like the vape on the ego q 900mAh batteries and have my 1300mAh spinner set just above 3.8. I don't know if that equates to anything like what has been said.

"So the lower the number ohm, the more watts generated, is that right? ( on a standard ego non vv battery )" Yep. Lower ohms = more watts. There's a great explanation by OneDay in the stickied thread here : allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/8815/eureka-volts-ohms-watts-101?page=1&scrollTo=204167Plus a chart that shows you the ohm / voltage / watts relationship "To get the same taste on my spinner with a 2.4ohm I would need to turn it up.( because it generates less than a 1.8ohm? )" Yes. The 2.4ohm head has a higher resistance, so it needs more voltage to get to the same heat as the 1.8ohm head. "I just assumed that the lowest number (1.8ohm) would be the weakest" It's the opposite

I have no idea Anne i use my spinner set between 3.6 to 3.8 & my twist slightly lower, i tried them by moving up/down a notch at a time until it tasted just right. I don't use my riva batts or the spare blister batt i got from Paradise Vapes now unless one of my v v dies on me while away from home.

i tried them by moving up/down a notch at a time until it tasted just right. That's the important bit. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what the voltage or resistance is, as long as it tastes right.

I am beginning to understand now Di I have my spinner on just over 3.8. it is a matter of each to their own and what you are comfortable with.
