Innokin I clear 30 or Kanger Protank

Just ordered the Kanger Protank 2 and some extra coils, a dip tip as I guess I won't like the metal one and a charger so I can charge separately the batteries. I did reduced as well the juice will see how it goes tomorrow

Do you not like metal drip tips? I have a few and have often used the plastic variety from Nova tanks.

I like better the plastic ones as I'm used to them so if ever I won't like the metal one which is with the protank I can change it. I only have one of the Vivi Nova  didn't know they can fit with the protank

I did reduced the nic strength to 22mg and today I felt much better and I can say that I can taste better the strawberry flavour even if I didn't add more flavour. The thing is that it lessons the throat hit and I'm thinking if I will increase the watts as now I'm using 6w

I've got to the stage where I'll vape any strength. Doesn't seem to bother me either way. I was on 30mg on Sunday, but puffed less, I'm sure.

Mostly, when I look at the eVic, I am vaping around 7.5 watts. Sometimes I don't even know this, as I am outside and can't read the display.

Glad to hear reducing the nic has helped mate =) Crank it up to 8w =D I find 8w is usually the sweet spot for me, a few other juices I vape at slightly higher or slightly lower but I'm sure you will find what works for you =)

I just tried it at 8 w but can taste a bit a burn coil

Hmm that's odd, no burnt taste on my Vamo at 8w. I guess it's all down to tastebuds though

But what coil your using ? I'm using the 2.4ohm as it what I taste better for now but will try the 1.8 as soon as the tank needs to refill

Its reading my coil at 2.6 ohms but when you use watts the resistance of the coil shouldn't matter as it adjusts the power depending on the resistance of the coil to provide a consistent vape. So for example I like my cherry cola at 8watts, if I switch from using my 2.6 ohm protank 2 to my 1.8 ohm evod then I still get the same taste without having to change the settings. If I wanted to use variable voltage I would have to set it to around 4.5v for my 2.6 ohm coil, then when changing to the 1.8 ohm coil I would have to turn it down to 3.8v to get the same sweet spot.

Yeah, variable wattage locks in the power and adjusts the voltage to compensate for the resistance. Which is why you shouldn't need to change the power between different cartos / clearos to achieve the same result.

I think I must be a wimp though. I get my preferred vape at around 4-6 Watts on my protanks / evods. Only when I switch to my iClear 30 do I have to up the power to around 8-9 watts for my preferred vape.

Its not about being a wimp mate don't worry =) I like the throat hit and clouds of vapor I get at 8 watts, anything much above it and it starts tasting a bit burnt. Its all down to personal preference

Just got the Protank today,after I cleaned it, I fill it up and give it a go and WOW it's great feels better than the Vivi Nova its a bit airy but will try the airflow when I recieve it and see how it goes as well .Guess I will reduce again the nic as the throat hit is very good. I did switch the eVic to RVW and arranged it as Romelee said in another thread ,I started with 7.5 w for the first 3sec then down to 7w for 5 sec and 6.5 the remaining.

I received the airflow controller today I fixed it on the eVic ,then I put the Protank on. Got to say that it works good but the female thread is a bit loose but it gives a good vape, not airy anymore and a good looking as well as it. Here is a pic how it looks like not a good one
