Gareth Bale said instead of moaning about my wages, just think that you lot would be better off if you didn't spend all your money on shiny's

And on top of that I heard on the radio last week, these players only pay around 6% tax on it.

Years ago, I used to love my football. Once the stupid money came in, together with the arrogant 'stars', I soon gave up on it. I occasionally will start to watch what I think will be a good game, only to switch over before half time... bored. The excuses from players and managers is usually... 'they're only human, can't play well every match. We all have off days'... Try saying that to your boss in your own job!

Well, Real Madrid have already got half their money back... they've just sold another player I've never heard of to Arsenal for £42M. Just need to sell a few 'Bale' shirts now and they'll be in profit before he kicks a ball!

Part of me thinks fair play to Gareth Bale and anyone else who finds themselves in the lovely position of being able to earn that sort of money for having a ' talent ' . . . then I think, hang on this is stupid, £36,000 a day for kicking a football, no matter how brilliantly you may be able to do it. I guess it boils down to the whole football system, which I don't pretend to understand.

Exactly the same for me mate, I haven't watched any football in 6 years now as I was sick of seeing the money wasted on drama queens.

That's fantastic for Arsenal if they have him, he's an excellent player, poor lad always looks poorly though with his eyes maybe he is always tired. I read a report a few days ago, it gave a players wages, and compared it to people who do important jobs, so for example it would say a surgeon would have to work x amount of years to earn what Ronaldo earns in 36 hours etc, it showed how ridiculous their wages actually are.
