Since ecigs were 1st invented and were mearly a crude low capacity battery attached to a basic atomizer with a carto filled with foam and eliquid at the end, they have evolved into some truly fantastic devices. The thing is, the old technology is still been produced and there's so many different types of devices batteries and what you put on the end of it, it's simply a huge mess of confusion out there.
Take the CE style clearo for example. It comes with long wicks, short wicks, no wicks, bcc, disposable, rebuildable, plasic tanks, glass tanks, metal tanks, XS to XXL, some you can use your own 510 drip tip, others, the drip tip is part of the body and some even light up.
Yes it is nice to have different types but for crying out loud! Do we really need that many of 1 type of product?!
I understand that everybody is wanting the perfect vape and every manufacturer wants to be the best with the latest most advanced product but seriously, when will it end?
Are we as consumers not at the point where we can say... yep, this vapes perfect for me, I don't need anything else. Can the manufacturers not simply say, sorry guys, we have reached the ultimate vaping product, nothing else is ever going to be designed as it will only be the same or lesser than our current model.
I mean, no wonder it's so hard for new vapers trying to quit smoking.
The list of devices is practically endless!
In my opinion, what all the manufacturers need to do is stop production of the poor quality stuff and the disposable stuff. It's a waste of money and bad for the environment.
Only release major breakthrough devices with an actual noticeable improvement from the last then phase the old model out.
Make the amount of devices much smaller e.g. Keep the genuine evod batterys (all sizes) keep all the genuine twists / spinners, keep 1 or 2 types of cig a like, get rid of all the rest. With mods... well thats a different story as they become collectable and in some peoples eyes a status symbol although, I believe that some sort of target of sales or something similar should come in...just look how many manufacturers have ripped off the vamo these days and not 1 of them is any better.
I might sound like a dictator but wouldn't you love to be able to go online and buy replacement heads for you vivi nova for example and know that they will fit reguardless of where you buy them... or when you buy an evod, it's not a poor quality leaky fake, or when you buy a new battery or charger, you can put a bit more trust it's not going to blow your face off or set fire to your porn collection.
I just feel there is way too many of the same products and the flood of clones and products which do the exact same thing has reached a point where it's not even funny.
Rant over.

I fear this is inevitable for the time being - the battle of the standards is only picking up steam. Once we see e-cigs really hit the mainstream I reckon it'll be like VHS vs Betamax all over again.
Exciting times to be a vaper but that doesn't mean we get the easiest ride. Yet.
