Anyone who gets the Labour Party cut and paste needs to follow up, they Possibly believe the line about "light touch" , explain what the MHRA have Already announced and how that will remove all products and that the costs To get anything new onto the market are so prohibitive that none of the current Suppliers will be able to trade. Remember the same lies are being told to the Labour Party by the wicked witch They need to be educated about what's going to realy happen. I did reply the the muppet referenced above ( twice) explaining the glaring errors in his 'cut-n-paste'. Clearly not interested in someone who uses the things, but will be doing whatever McAven tells him.

I had this reply
Thank you for your email. I have drawn your concerns to the attention of Martin Callanan MEP, ECR shadow rapporteur on this file. Martin remains in close contact with the vaping community, both on an individual level and through community and trade associations, and understands vapers' concerns. He informs me that he sees the great public health benefit to be gained from e-cigarettes, and shares the British Medical Association's opinion that while e-cigarettes (like any novel product) may present some concerns until more data on their use is available, they are nevertheless likely to be a much lower risk option than continuing to smoke. For this reason he is pushing to make e-cigarettes at least as easily available as tobacco cigarettes to encourage as many smokers as possible to make the switch. Unfortunately, following a vote in July, the Parliament's Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee voted to class e-cigarettes as medicinal products. However, as Mr Callanan rightly puts, "this vote is not the end of this process and we will be working with vapers to make other MEPs see sense and support e-cigarette producers and users." I can assure you that we will be monitoring and scrutinising any further development of this directive as it passes through the Parliament. If you have any further comments please feel free to contact Martin's office directly via martin.callanan@europarl.europa.eu Yours sincerely, Marina Yannakoudakis, Conservative MEP for London

Short and to the point......
Dear OneDay,
Thank you for your e-mail of 6 September 2013.
I can only confirm that I am completely against a ban on electronic cigarettes.
I am also against the EU to regulate this at all. Questions of this kind ought to be determined through our national democratic mechanisms.
Yours sincerely, Daniel Hannan MEP
