Have had a shower and off to bed with dd. She wanted to sleep in our bed, so partner is relegated to the spare room.

Well she's decided that she'll try to sleep in her own bed tonight - hurray!! She's a nightmare for nicking the duvet! She also wants to go to school tomorrow, so I'm meeting her for lunch to top up the painkillers. She had a bath tonight, which was pretty traumatic! She and her cast survived intact. Her dads been away for a couple of days, I'll be so pleased to see him home, life's hard without him and with a 3 year old and a one armed 9 year old!
Throughout the last few days I haven't turned back to the stinkies, and managed surprisingly well in the hospital without my pv.

She's safely in bed (she's got one of those high sleeper things) with her light rearranged to be within left handed reach and strict instructions to shout if she needs out for a wee. Think this is the first time I've relaxed since Saturday... I've treated myself to a couple of t juice liquids.

I swear those of us who have children go grey far quicker than those that don't. Always something to worry about. Glad she is on them mend and now dads home life will feel more normal again.

She really doesn't like being the centre of attention, so will NOT like all the staring and questions  I've told her its just because people care, but she turns back into my wee shy toddler and hides when anyone asks her about it. I've written and explained to her teacher, so she'll keep an eye on her. Just wish Mr Lal would hurry up and get home! |
