Threading wire inside Ekowool

Just wondering - has anyone tried feeding res wire through the middle of Ekowool?

What I had in mind was to feed through the wire using it as a core then wrap it into a coil - either around an SS mesh wick/steel rope, some cotton wool or just with enough non-wired wick to feed back through the coils. The wire would then just be poked out at the points of contact with the +/- terminals of the atomiser.

I can only really think of one benefit: that the wire would be completely covered by wick & liquid.

Was thinking of trying it out myself but the Vape Mesh Company are out of 1mm Ekowool.

Interesting thought, I will await the experts comments before I give this a bash but sounds good to me (as long as it doesn't go up in flames lol).

Intresting idea! wonder if you could put a micro coil inside 3mm Ekowool.

What I have done is use some tightly wound mesh through the middle of some hollow ekowool to give it some strength and used the result in a genesis attie- worked fine but the attie required plenty of tilting.

Right. Have emailed Vape Mesh Company re 1mm Ekowool stock levels - it's in stock on one of their sister sites but that site doesn't have the full range of all their other wires that I want. Hopefully will get some to play with before the end of next week!
