bloody hell rom !
i'm paying £120 a month for gas and electricity and i resent that much. luckily my tumble dryer broke down so going old school with airers this winter. should save a few quid

5th June till 1st Sept 33 cubic meters used (gas cooker , hot water but CH switched off) .... £22.48 after online billing and direct debit discounts.

ETA: Just me and wifey at home these days  .... used to cost an arm and a leg when my 3 daughters were at home

my bill always goes up just after winter when its most expensive. hoping to break even next year. havent put heating on yet, maybe october sometime but i've heard its going to be a hard, cold season

I think to make this a fair comparison, members with teenage girls at home should be allowed to deduct £100 for each one.

No gas here, oil heating but the tank is empty and think it will stay that way till frostbite sets in around January We buy 500 liters a year and when it runs out that's it, no hot water (have an electric shower so not smelly LOL) or heating. Made it through minus 10 temps two winters ago, the washing machine froze up and the dehumidifier refused to work because the temperatures in the house were so low .

That is unfair,if you have more females in the home it should be warmer due to all the hot air coming from their mouths

lol our tumble is never off even when it was in the high 20c's,but will add were on key meter ,bit more expensive but no surprise bills[well there can be when they dont change tarrif and then try handing you a large back payment Scottish gas done that told em go bend over and well oil]

what i do miss is an open fire we have fireplaces but landlord removed tops and blanked em over or we would go back to coal and wood in winter,on bright note top part of house retains heat,even just hot water on was enough to keep it warm in winter,in summer you suffer lol

i have an open fire and a stack of wood outside will be using it more this year for sure
