Court summons

I don't understand how they can issue a summons for non payment when we have paid,even the payment that was 3 days late was cleared well in advance of the date the summons was sent.We received no warning letter saying we was late.

I guess it was a quiet day in the legal department..the court will issue whatever the council ask them to issue. It's then down to the council to prove their case, which they clearly can't.

The court doesn't issue council tax summons, the council does it all by themselves.
If you go to court you will have a hell of a job getting to state your case before a magistrate,the council hire a room at the court and get the liability orders rubber stamped.
It's the finest example of a kangaroo court that you will ever see.
If the council say that you don't owe anything watch out for them trying to charge you for the summons.

They did say there will be no charges,time will tell.
