I've got itchy fingers waiting for the iTaste VTR and know that I need some batteries and a charger anyway (since I've the MVP at the moment). Looking around on FastTech I saw that I can get a Vamo v2 with a good NiteCore I2 charger and a couple of batteries for way less than European prices on these bundled items. It only took me a while though to work out that there have been problems with the threads on the v2 so first I read up on the stainless steel model (which is a little more), read that they've also been troublesome, then read that the v3 has a superior replaceable top cap, available in SS from StealthVape: www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004394/1395800www.stealthvape.co.uk/vamo-top-capThat's still only the Euro price of two batteries and a charger - should I do it? Or should I just be patient?

Id be patient The V3 has already been supersceded by the v4 and (debates on version number )the v5 and really not that expensive
The V3 has nt had a great press (looks rather than performance)
I recently put the top cap you ve linked to on my V2 for exactly the reasons you ve outlined so from that perspective the V2 remains a good buy.

Screw it, Fairy Gift said they'd VTRs and offer free DHL (3 day) shipping and a cheap charger and a Panasonic battery, so I did that instead

Id ditch the vamo idea and go with a sigelei telescopic z-max v3 www.vapegear.co.uk/Sigelei_ZMax_Telescope_V3_Flat_Head/p1826719_9481512.aspx or here if you dont mind the wait www.healthcabin.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8303, i`ve had and still have both and sigelei is by far the better made of the 2 and can take bumps and bangs all day long without fear of it coming apart or breaking, i think the press fitted vamo parts are susceptible to drops and some times need a good bang when the press fitted bits come kinda loose to put them back together . IMHO the vamo has alot of flaws if your a bit heavy handed like myself and have dropsies, the sigelei mods are much more sturdy and better built to take a bit of cosh.
