No worries pebbles Keep at it, you will get there and when you do you will never look back, it takes time but once you have the knack it all falls in place

Had a bugger about recoiling this aft. Just wondering if your trick is to coil over a former then heat them red hot before pulling a wick through so the coil stays consistent?- tried it this afternoon and saves a huge amount of time whilst giving a nice constant wrap. Just need to source some better heat proof forming rods or maybe some fine and course thread bolts in different sizes for a super consistent coil pitch Cheers Richie

richieh if it is for protanks etc i just get a paperclip and insert it through the middle of the Ekowool which gives me a stable piece of wick to work with and just wrap the coil around nice and snug. I heat the coil before coiling, takes the springy ness away from it.

pebbles for 50pg/50vg i would use 2mm Ekowool, if it's 70pg/30vg than i would use 2mm Ekowool with a couple of stands of 2mm silica on top of the wick.
