@freefromsmoking this may be the point where i have to bow down to something that is far superior to the novas. So as most of you know i adore my novas. My re wicked heads work a treat. The draw on them is perfect for me but now there seems to be a problem. Since the Evic and MVP arrived the bases on my novas have had issues with there threading to the point that now none of my novas apart from one mini nova that kibbster kindly donated screws onto either my Evic or my trusty MVP. Now everything else i have works a treat on these mods and fits perfectly and weirdly my novas still screw onto an ego style battery fine but put the two together and nothing. So it is time for pastures new for me. I see only two choices. The iclear30 with its 16 wicks, amazing flavour and great vapour production is calling. The fact the heads last forever is a true bonus but alas the metal drip tip is its down fall. I hate them and although i have them on my drippers somehow they feel right but here i am not so sure. Then the protank 2 comes into the arena. Bottom coil, great flavour, great vapour, i can re wick the heads to how i want even a micro or nano coil in there with cotton wick to bring the best out of it. I can change the drip tip to one of my liking but again 1 downfall, the airy vape, i need a tighter draw but do i go with it knowing that i need to get used to a airy vape looking forward to kayfun lites and magoos or do i just block a hole and say to hell with it this is where i am going? Innokin iclear 30 or Kanger Protank 2, where would you go? Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

If you're worried about the airy vape then one of theseProtank is VERY airy on the evic but the airflow controller allows you to change the airflow to suit.. Kayfun Lite is even more airy than the protank so either go for the russian 91% or maybe a nautilus/terminator-c. Both are pretty much idential to the attys they copy and are very well made by all accounts! Dual coil of the magoo will perform better on a mechanical mod as opposed to a regulated mod such as the evic.

Roscopecotrain .... you already know where I stand in the warm & tight versus cool and airy debate. Both your contenders have their fans. You could indeed block off the air hole of the Protank and fit an air control ring to your mod to achieve the tighter draw you want but what about the cooler vape that you will get from the Protank? What it really boils down to in your case is stainless steel drip tip or cool vape ... which can you live with?

When i go down the kayfun or russian route it will be on my magneto at the moment. I have seen the magoo on one and it looks stunning. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

Lol if i am honest probably neither but i do like the vape from a iclear30 but love the idea of putting whatever coil and wick i like in the protank. Mmmmm i may have to buy one of each and do a side by side for a week. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

I did think of those romelee. Not sure on them though. No idea why. The protank or iclear will be for work mainly and probably out and about and then the rba will come into there own at home. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

I was in the same boat, now all my novas are redundant but all the treads are good, I always liked the idea of a bottom coil but none of them floated my boat until the protank 2 came along , no more swishing is about the only advantage I find with the protank apart from the pyrex tank , as for the airy draw I soon got used to that and is no longer an issue, oh there's one down side I find compared to the novas and that is the coils don't last as long.

I can't speak for any of the others Roscopecotrain, but the Kayfun lite is extremely good. The draw is airy, but I've found you can get used to it (perhaps by varying the way you vape a bit). A good way to tighten it up is to use the tip of the luer lock plastic needles that C9 sell. A possible problem is, though, that this also effects the juice control in these type of things, so you have to get the balance right.
