I've been vaping for a week, and although I'm happy with my kit I'm aware it's a starting point rather than the gear that will keep me going in the long term. I'm prepared to have a good look around, but I'm open to suggestions as to what I should be looking at next. I currently have two large ego-ts with a bunch of evods. I'm curious as to what people recommend for a step up, preferably something with variable voltage: do I go for a spinner or an ego twist? If so, which (in your opinions) is better? What about an MVP? Is this a good deal? myepack.co.uk/mods/itaste-mvp-v2-0.htmlwhat about a vamo? What's the difference between the v4 and V5? How this for a deal: myepack.co.uk/mods/vamo-v5-full-kit-ss.htmlany other suggestions, preferably compatible with the evods, around the £50 mark (or less)? I'm quite a light vaper at present. I'm looking for something that brings out more flavour, and a bit more vape as the ego-ts with 2.5 ohm evods are a bit thin with quite a few flavours. All suggestions welcome - help me shop!

Hi
Out of those you suggest I personally would choose the MVP, others say the vamo hits harder and better, but its a monster and you need batteries and a charger. You could also think about the iTaste v3? I got my friend to make this his first purchase over 3 weeks ago and he is currently not looking to change it, the only draw back is the battery life but as a light vapor hopefully it won't effect you.

The MVP is a really solid device. It looks a little odd but I can't recommend it enough.

Vamo for the price is fantastic bit of kit. Especially the later versions, 4 I think? someone a bit more knowledgeable with Vamo models may correct me on that one.
Another funky one is the eVic. Its a bit gimmicky, but I had one and LOVED IT, Dee ended up with it in the end and I think she had great results too!, you can even monitor it via your computer (thats the gimmick bit)

Watching this thread with interest, I do have a VV as I spent hours trawling ecig forums before buying but well, shinies Out of interest, if you don't mind me asking what is the difference between an ego twist and a spinner? I thought they were the same!

I thought they were the same! I have no idea of the difference - you're probably right! I've just seen the two names and assumed they were different products... I know all about shinies - trying to tell myself that any purchases need to come out of next months pay packet ! But I'm a weak-minded individual...

In order of the things you mentioned: Precious little to choose between a spinner and a twist - the spinner has a ribbed base and markings printed on the body of the battery where as the twist has a smooth base and the voltage markings are engraved. They also spin in opposite direction to each other which can be confusing if you have both and try to adjust things absence mindedly. Both of them will give a noticeable improvement on an ego and are much slimmer then a proper mod - they are basically the same width as an ego/riva etc but a bit taller. They don't give the same power or depth in the hit as a larger mod. itaste is a nice halfway house between a spinner and electric mod like a Vamo - does VW which is a bonus and has stylish looks and a lcd display - but the battery life is comparatively poor and the hit is not that much different to a spinner/twist. The MVP is incredibly practical - has a battery that goes on forever, the V2 does VW as well as VV and it definitely gives a better vape than the likes of a spinner/twist or itaste. But its not really a looker and it is a lot heavier and the slightly stiff button might be off putting to some. Vape for vape for me you can't beat a Vamo. It is a beast in 18650 mode (with a decent sized tank on it think light saber handle) but its not too badly sized in 18350 and it gives a hit like nothing else I've tried. My MVP is my work mod and does the job but at home I always reach for my Vamo. The V4 version is the V3 one with the V2 design (the V3 looked rather like a sex toy) so improved screen and electric bits. The V5 has a new design of top cap. I have a V2 myself so can't comment on the improvements further. All of these devices will be a big improvement on what you have now. I've owned all of them at some point in the last 3 months (I still own most of them). My go to vape when transporting is not a concern is my Vamo though. Make of this what you will

I thought they were the same! Same idea - originally manufactured by two different companies - Joyetech make Twists, Vision make Spinners. Aesthetic differences aside (as above) they are pretty much the same. The clones tend to be called Twists rather than spinner's - no idea why - Twist seems to have ended up the generic name for a ego shaped battery mod with variable voltage.

MVP Gets my vote everytime, good & solid, dead easy to use and dosen't look a sex toy / offensive weapon It does look like a walkie talkie though Personal tastes I know but I much prefer the look of tube mods to box mods - just one of those brain things I guess. One other thing though - I find the Vamo doesn't play too nicely with low fitting ego threaded attys like evods - the lip of the device means the base is obscured once it is screwed in and then it can be hard to unscrew it without managing to unscrew the base of the atty and cause major juice leakage. The Vamo works much better with something just using a 510 fitting like a protank/viv nova etc. The MVP doesn't have this problem as it has a unemcumbered ego thread like an ego battery with a beauty ring to use 510 devices.

I haven't tried a vamo but can't cheer lead the MVP enough. The look of it put me off for a month or two but tbh once in my hand I love the look and preformance of it. I found folkbgave me strange looks when I had my spinner in my hand so I really am past caring now. I don't find the button tricky dreamylittledream, maybe I have strongvthumbs though? I think having this has put me off spending on another PV as I worry will it live up to this as I just love it so much.
Yes the myepack is a great deal, I purchased mine from there and got next day service too.

Decisions decisions... Maybe I need to get both an MVP and a vamo! Maybe I need to have a word with myself So for out and about it seems that the MVP is the right choice, but the vamo is the way forwards for home vaping. The MVP does look a bit weird to me at the moment, but it's probably the practical option at this stage, and if I get on with it I might not need anything else - I'm leaning this way. I'm not sure you meant it as a positive dreamylittledream, but the idea of having a lightsabre vape is still appealing - I guess I'm of a certain age and geeky persuasion

I don't mind the button on the MVP siffy - but given the choice I would have it a less firm press - it lacks a satisfying click like the Vamo too (these little things - they all add up). I do agree that's a good price from myepack on the MVP though - I got mine from there - cheapest I've seen for it in the UK and for just a tenner more than it costs from FT its worth it for the reassurance of a UK vendor in the event of problems and the fact you get it the day after you order as opposed to a fortnight later if you are lucky! The Vamo kit from them is not badly priced either but that charger may be a death trap if used incorrectly and the batteries may also not be the best
