You've never met me have you Jake? Im not the kind of woman who gets talked into anything she doesn't want to be, and I am also not backwards in coming forward Ooo nothing better than a fiery woman! hehe. all the best anyways in your choice. If you do need any advice with it feel free to PM, I am a major Android/mobile device geek at heart lol. [/quote] Thanks Jake.after your advice and others I think I will stick with what I have for now. My daughter hasn't had it delivered yet so plenty of time for her to cancel.

4G I don't even get 3G 99.9% of the time, this was sent with an H internet connection lol The H on your phone stands for HSDPA (also known as 3.5G) which is faster than 3G (also known as WCDMA) Speed can vary greatly and H can occasionally be slower than 3G. But in most cases if your phone is receiving a H signal then it's running at its best possible speeds.

If you live in one of the cities below you've had excellent 4G coverage for a while, as these were the pilot cities. Not sure how good coverage is everywhere else. But if you can get coverage, it is fantastic, lightning fast. Tether up your mobile to your laptop or your tablet, and it feels like your connecting to a fast hard-wired broadband connection. Data is blooming expensive though, or at least it is on EE (The network assumed in my post) a package with 4gb of the fastest 4G data will cost you almost £50 a month (you do get unlimited minutes and texts though) Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield.

To be honest its faster but not that much faster than 3g on a phone. when you notice it is when you have it in a laptop or a win 8 tablet. I have tested in both and you do see the difference but as for a phone why would you need more speed and cost to load a web page 3 seconds faster . Im on EE 4g and not got a signal in the town apart from when you go past the tmobile call center lol

As a 4G user who does not live in one of the listed cities (I live in York). I would say yes, if I use my phone as a tether, genuinely it is the fastest connection available to my house, by some way.
Didn't think I would use it all that much to be honest, but I couldn't go back now.

IMHO At present 4G is only beneficial if you are a 3 customer as they are not charging any extra for the switch to 4G (and before you can receive a 4G signal your network needs to send the phone a system software update, included in this update is the LTE system settings this update will be needed no matter what model of 4G compatible phone you have. All other networks are too expensive and don't offer unlimited data. As for the 3G,H, H+ debate not all firmwares/phones show the correct symbols for the connection you are getting, eg: iphones have never shown anything other than a 3G symbol because ios is coded this way, so the data symbols can be miss-leading (LTE will show on a iphone5 5s if properly connected to 4G)
