Broken eVic?

Oh dear, double trouble.

Friday - last of 2 Spinners dies. Won't charge (light stays green on all combinations of chargers and mains adapters).

Today - eVic bites the dust. Re-flashed the firware etc.

Turns on, reads atomizer, suggests 5.2 watts (whatever it does), says "ready to go" and then turns off as soon as I press the "fire" button.

Not good.

Anyone come across this. The battery is fine (I tested it) and the control head is not frozen exactly, just turns itself off?

djs what battery are you using when this happens:

This happened to me when i used Torchy batteries and was below 50% charge, mainly in 18350 mode but also happened in 18650 mode now and again.

Should I wait (and test with other/different batteries) before looking buying something else 18650 VV/VW?

Got only 1 VV battery useable now....and old 18350 Lavatube. Can live with it for while, but only 700mAh.

Also in settings what Configure/Battery settings do you have it on?

Other batt's still charging.

I realised, the battery in it is the first one I bought (labelled "1"). The other two are labelled 2a and 2b, bought together.

Not happened before, so hard to say about the charge situation.

Will report back tomorrow most likely.

Dead, dead, dead.

Removed all MVR software from PC. Installed MVR 1.4. Upgraded firmware. Got 1.4 running perfectly.

eVic shuts itself off on attaching any sort of atomiser.

Bugger.

How about if nothing is attached and you fire it up?

I think I will probably get another control head sometime down the road.

In the meantime, need to choose between SID or Sigelei Zmax. (Got to be UK available...)

I could get an MVP, but I have a nitecore and 4 x 18650s.

Just set up some major charging factory...

Got 2 x 18350s up and charging (for lavatube mini)

2 x eGo batteries, also charging.

I'm going to manage, but no VV/VW other than 700mAh lavatube.

Can't believe both Spinner and eVic gone down within 24 hours.

(Something tells me a vendor is going to get a double whammy of 18650 mod and 1300 Spinner in one order!!! )

djs hope it all works out for you and you get it up and running, if the temperature thing does not work than i am lost and can only think that the eVic does not like the batteries no more or something more technical inside is happening

Just ordered an SID (matt black) and 1300 Spinner. Can't be doing with 700mAh lavatubes and 650 eGos.
