Great stuff Clutter, they are good aren't they.
I find tipping the whole thing down at an angle (so the juice bathes the ceramic cup) every now and again, gives a great flavour and TH.
Yep, Clockworks says the carto tank version is 10mm shorter than our tanks.

Burnt filler Which cartos are you using Clockworks?Im using the Boges and never get a burnt filler taste.I suppose its all in the size of the hole, get it rite and your laughing, get it wrong and your swearing :)I also only use tobacco flavours in the tank, beautiful vape.As for the Darwin It dont do it for me at all.Its a combination of the swing arm thing and the built in battery that puts me off.Suppose its great if you can easily solder in a new battery yourself though. Boge LR for me, with a 1.1mm hole. I never get a dry vape, but there's a slow build up of burnt taste over the course of a week or so. It's not a nasty burnt taste, just a hint of bitterness and woodiness. Strong tobaccos juices mask it, but I can taste it with fruit flavours. If you take a well-used carto apart, you'll see where the taste comes from. There's an inner wrap of cloth around the tube/coil, then the fibre wadding around the outside of that. It's the cloth layer that slowly chars and disintegrates. I was in 2 minds about the Darwin, but Tim at Moju assures me that the latest version will take a tank.

Yep, I do that occasionaly 'cos I've a bad habit of holding the button on the GGTB too long.Yep, Clockworks says the carto tank version is 10mm shorter than our tanks. So, you could mod an existing Arry Tank with a carto?
I'm really enjoying this. I'm vaping Griz's Banoffee but bought low nic 10mg when I usually vape 18mg-20mg and the flavour, vape and TH are still great.

I see what you mean mate, yeah i must admit i get that wood kind of taste. It did shock me when i took a carto apart and saw what happens to it after a while.I must admit that ive only ever used the carto tank with tobacco flavours to date.Oh so the Darwin will take a tank then, hmm, must resist, must resist.

Clutter: You can modify a clearo tank to work with cartos - the tube needs shortening, and holes in the end caps need boring out by roughly 0.5mm. Tricky to do without a lathe.
Ian: Tim reckons that the latest Darwin has an extension on the arm to allow the fitting of tanks. Not sure if you can swing it closed with the tank fitted - I hope so.

Very true Clutter, thanks for that.Im not going for it,its not a nice looking device at all, ugly infact :)Plus look at the cost Its a stupid price for a mod with a built in battery that could fail at any time.

Clockworks, when I suggested the Arry Tank could be modded I didn't mean by me. Good heavens! What an 'orrible thought. I'm quite proud that I managed to reassemble a 901 > 510 after cleaning it too vigorously though. You should have waited for Ian to buy the Darwin and put it on the Classifieds

It's hardly gonna out-perform the pro-vari mate is it? I was reading your comments and you were right about that arm, it certainly looks fragile and prone to being the first thing to hit the floor when it's dropped- for that reason I would leave it alone.
