I have made a start!

I am determined to have a go at re-coiling my protanks and evods, have sent for the wick & wire, dismantled the clearo's all dead as dodo's , all 7 of them.
Must say though they have lasted me a month, so not bad going, but I do wash them properly after each use as I swap and change my liquids daily.
So waiting now for the postie, should be here Saturday morning hopefully...busy weekend.

Go for it Phoenix . it's easy once you get over some hurdles and all your juices will taste so much better, even better knowing you made the wick yourself

You'll be fine....the heads are a doddle

I put a very small amount of wick on top of the coil......Some don't so its trial and error

Good for you Phoenix ., keep us posted. I'm nearly there, on the verge of taking that leap, dithering about what wicks and wires I need to get (even though I've been given lots of advice), it's just a bit scary so your experience could be invaluable (if you'll share it).

Should be fine, even a basic lighter will do, will just take a little bit longer.

Something I have been meaning to ask you Rom since I first read the evod & protank tips and tricks thread :

2) 2 x 2mm silica wick strands to go on top of the 2mm Ekowool wick

What exactly do you mean by 2mm silica wick strands ?  ???

OK mate got you  ... ta very muchly.  When I recoil my daughter's evod heads I follow you as far as the 2 mm ecowool coil but I then place a single piece of 1mm silica wick on top .... seems to work as she is more than happy with the result.
