Aniseed

Afro Dizziac mixed at 10% is just right for me. It is really potent, also means I get 100ml of juice for the 10ml concentrate which is a bonus.

I also love Red Astaire. I mixed it at 15% although I'm now finding into my second 30ml mix that it could do with a tad more, maybe 20%. For me there's only a hint of Aniseed in Red Astaire, so definitely Afro Dizziac is my choice for an aniseed juice.

I too have found that I've almost become accustomed to Red Astaire at 15%, gonna get through the 60mls I have mixed up then see if upping to 20% brings it back to what it used to be.

Totally agree Super-Shiny, one of the reasons I got into mixing was so I didn't have to buy expensive premixed bottles of eliquid.  Worst of all buying expensive bottles of eliquid and them turning out to be disgusting, total waste of money.

I'm so glad I found mixing, and it's thanks to reading posts from you, Perpetua, Roscopecotrain and others on this forum.  Otherwise I'd still be shelling out £5 plus postage for a 10ml bottle of eliquid.

The best aniseed juice I've encountered is Mrs Lord's Druide - its just an amazing taste blast.

I do like a bit of Affro though too, Druide just has a little more body which gives it the edge. Like others I mix my own at 15% and that has plenty of zap.

I do love a spot of Red Astaire - its my normal ADV actually but its only a very subtle hint of aniseed on the exhale - much more menthol in it.

i get marzipan from high voltage !! Still struggling to taste much of anything in snake oil !! Love red Astaire but no aniseed ! Just ordered some Afro dizziac ! Looking forward to trying it ! Oh and just ordered a rainbow spinner to see if everything tastes better!

It's funny you should mention the curry thing Romelee. I recently vaped my way through a bottle of blackjack juice from health-e-vape. Blackjack as you know is liquorice flavour which is derived from aniseed, so this is sort of on topic. Now initially after a weeks steeping I thought wow this is black jack. A week or so later I started to think the aroma is a bit currified. Now I always blow vapour at the gf so she can smell it due to it having to pass the vaping in the living room test first, at first she said it smelt of blackjack sweets. This is where your post grabbed my attention, a week or so later she said my car smelt like the delivery driver from the local indian takeaways car must smell. She said it smelt really strong of curry powder when I blew some straight at her and this reinforced my own and her thoughts, curry !

That's so strange ! I'm vaping it now ! Got extra flavour and throat hit and its still not very blackjack !! In fact I detect curry and someone at work also said it smelt of curry !! A very acquired taste !! Don't think I will be reordering ! Also got some from wicked eliquid and that's pretty insipid

I’m on my 4th bottle of Black Jack, and find it too week and flavourless, but I keep purchasing it because I add a few drops of Salmiakki to a 30ml bottle and its much better. That and Spearmint are my usual daily vape.
