Advice on different Flavours

I've just ordered some Dr Stanleys, it'll ship early November, I think I'll need to steep it for a week or more, but I will review it and post it on aaec. I am hoping to find others with the same "Nasty" tastes as me, my Mrs. likes sweet vapes???

I like sweet flavours, but I tried the Alchemists Vodka and Lime recently and it may be the sort of thing you're looking for. It isn't sweet and is a lovely flavour, but it isn't going to make you screw your eyes up. TBH I think you would soon tire of it if it did - I know I couldn't vape a juice that did that all day!

I seem to remember dreamylittledream posting about this juice as well, I've tagged him to give some feedback (if my memory serves me well).

  I'm not looking to Vape an "eyescrewer" all day, just a little treat, after my tea for instance, or if I go for a beer I fancy something not Tobbacco flavoured, but not Sweet either ( too choosy me!!!)

Ah yes my beloved Vodka and Lime, it has a freshness zip of the lime but there is a slight hint of sweetness there mainly from the vodka I suspect.  Well basically it tastes distinctly like vodka and lime.  I've been valiantly trying to recreate it myself as the recipe (or perhaps an early version of it) was posted here by Frogster (The Alchemist) in the days before he became the alchemist (its still in the mixing section under the drinks section).  However either my mixing skills are not up to the job or he has changed things slightly as I can't recreate it - what I get is a bit too zappy and a completely different colour to boot.  The basis of it is Decadent Vapers Lime Zinger concentrate however so if you are looking for a screw your face up citrus blast then a high % mix with just that would probably do the job.  The Alchemists blend is a bit more subtle.

They also do a lemon and lime flavour which I liked a lot for my first few months of vaping but eventually went off as the throat hit is quite hard.  Its not sweet at all however and has a real carbonated fizzy note on the exhale - worth considering.

I'm not big on masses of sweetness either but I do like a hint with my fruits and aniseed and mints which are my preferred vapes.  The Mrs Lords juices that have been mentioned are both fab, but both of them have some real notes of sweetness in there to be fair.  Seville Marmalade is a sweet orange drink (think Sunkist fizzy drink) on the inhale with bitter notes on the exhale.  For me Ginger Nuts is more a heavy gingerbread flavour with some deep treacly notes in there (not much biscuit given the name) so both might be a bit sweet for you if you want no sweetness at all (probably important to differentiate here between cloying chemically sweetness which a lot of juices have and the subtle notes I'm talking about here in the Mrs Lords and vodka and lime juices - very different beasts and I can't stand the former but love the latter).

I got a free sample of snake oil yesterday and have been on it on and off the it the past 24 hours and it is pleasant stuff.  However to me it primarily tastes like Haribo Sour Mix - citrusy but with that sour sweetness - in fact it tastes an awful lot like the fizzy jelly snake Tmax sends you with the bottle.  I think I like it (never make a clear commitment with a juice until you've lived with it for a week or so lol) but it has a lot of sweetness in there which would probably make it too much for me for an ADV.  There's also a lot of coolant on the exhale (not menthol as there's no mint in there but a really cooling note nevertheless).  It can however be tried for free by pm'ing Tmax on UKvapers and asking for a sample so I'd recommend that before committing to a purchase (now if more juice vendors offered that I would be substantially better off that's for sure lol).

Grizwalds Citrus Spring has been mentioned and I didn't mind that but it was no revelation for me - tastes an awful lot like robinsons lemon squash.

Thank you dreamy, I know tastes differ between Vapers, but I am beginning to wonder if the sweetness I found the first time I got juice, yep it was that cloying aftertaste, was because it wasn't decent juice in the first place. I bought some juice from a stall on a Market in Bristol a couple of weeks ago from a guy who was pretty knowledgable, 3 for £10 deal, 2 were grand, 1 not to my taste, but I ran low last night and got out the 1 I wasn't bothered about and gave it a go, it was MUCH nicer, still not 1 I would order again, but not nasty. I tried 1 of the 1st (cheapy free with a cheapy clearomiser) that I had hanging about, it was more horrible than I remembered. Maybe I'll find a couple I like, order enough so I can steep and still have some to Vape, and maybe get into making my own Flavs after Xmas. I have come to realise that I'm craving different tastes at different times of the day!! Dunno really, I'm still learning what I like, who said you cant teach an old dog new tricks eh!!

Just found a sample paradisevapes sent me with my last order, Red Licorice, and I had a chat with Jimmy before I placed my order with him. I would NEVER have thought I would like to Vape such a thing BUT I dont know if it was a random sample, or Jimmy thought I might like a bit of strange, I LIKE it, I Vaping it with another left over Cuba flav I got from vapourgenie in Bristol and the mix is Out of This World. Probably TOO much for all day, but I've lost the 8ml of my previous Vape flav Mash Up so its all I've got, its very,very nice!!!

I tried red liquorice , was really looking forward to it but all I taste is rubber !! ( not that I spend a lot of time eating rubber just tastes like what rubber would if I did ????

I "cobbled together" a load of leftover bits and bobs today as I lost a bottle of my all day Vape (in the pub,yeah I know) so its not mainly red licorice, just a bit with another couple of flavs I didn't like at all on their own,what I THINK is dawning on me is that the Total is greater than the Sum of its parts! I feel a lesson on mixology may be what I need. Know any good links???
