Hi everyone I'm a heavy smoker (approx 50/60 per day), but I'm sick of the expense, and the smell I've tried the "cold turkey" withdrawel but it's never going to happen I've 3 beautiful grandchildren, aged 10,5 & 1 and fed up having to go out the back to smoke when they visit Also the eldest complains about the smell of smoking I've bought the garage e-cigs but it's really no good
After reading through some of the other threads I think I will opt for a variable voltage type I need that throat hit, even just for 1st few weeks Can anybody advise me on best starter kits and liquids ? Any advice will be very much appreciated Many thanks Graham

Welcome to you Graham. I'd really recommend one of these: myepack.co.uk/mods/itaste-mvp-v2-0-black.htmlAlthough not a starter kit as such, it is Variable Voltage/Wattage which gives you far more control over your vaping and ultimately a better experience more akin to smoking.

gooner155 Hi and Welcome to the forum. Great news giving up the `killer stinkies`, if we can give you support just ask, we are a friendly bunch, some with a great knowledge base of equipment and juices. They will save you a fortune, by not buying the rubbish out there. Good Luck.

Hi gooner155, welcome to AAEC. You mentioned variable voltage - have a look at the Vamo kits, MVP or spinner from myepack. When picking juices, go for at least 18mg nic (24 might be better as you smoke quite a few ciggies) and a juice that is higher in PG than VG - this will give you the throat hit.

Hello & welcome gooner155 I also used to be a very heavy smoker - on average 50 a day. I agree that it would be best if you go for a variable Voltage type so you can dial it up to get a good hit.

gooner155The MVP recommended by Perpetua is a very nice piece of kit for the money, but if you think you's be happier with something more cylindrical, I'd go for a spinner kit. I don't think the Riva kits are variable volt. I'd get two or three flavours to try. Most people start with tobacco flavours. If you are on ready mades I don't think you'll get a very good taste match, but you might as well get a juice which tries to match your fags. A lot of people who wouldn't smoke menthol like some in their vape.

If it was me and i was first starting out then this would be my choice: www.ukecigcabin.com/product/spinner-kitIt has everything you need, it might seem expensive but you cannot put a price on health, two good batteries, one for vaping the other one to use whilst the other one is on charge so you will never have nothing to vape. All it needs is juice of your choice. Just don't forget the discount codes when you buy anything. EDIT: Just for info....High levels of nicotine and PG in a liquid will give high throat hit.

welcome gooner155 I was heavy smoker 30/40 a day I can highly recommend itaste3.0 from paradise vapes as for juice that's abit of trial and error but as Romlee says joosejuice is a good place to start ....wont break the bank. probably best to start on at least 24mg strength to get the hit you want mate....Good luck

Welcome. I can't add anything much here, but rest assured, the garage e-cigs of this world, and the supermarket ones too (Nicolites, E-Lites) are as much use to you as a chocolate teapot. It's all about the Nicotine, and these products have been de-bunked (as not really replacing anywhere near enough Nicotine) thousands of times by those in the know - i.e. the Vapers who quit using e-cigs. VV is a great idea, take it one day at a time, you will get there.

Hi gooner155 I hope your a real arsenal fan? Ill offer my 2p to try and confuse you some more lol. You could start out vaping for very little money TBH and it may kind of work for a little while. The fact you have come to a forum looking for help suggests that your serious about making this work and if that is the case I would suggest skipping out the starter set ups. They serve a purpose but within a month you will end up spending money on upgrades. So if I had to start vaping again knowing what I do now, I would go with something like an MVP2 (linked above) just because it has all the functions you need and a great battery life (hassle free) it comes with iclears which are good clearo's. As for juice, this was a sticking point for me for a very long time and I really struggled. I have finally settled with some tobacco flavoured juices but there is a lot of maintenance involved. What I will say about juice is don't expect it to taste like you think it will and the brands that offer the same taste as your favorite cigarette probably will not taste like they should. I am yet to find a juice that tastes like the cigarettes I used to smoke.

I would go for 24mg/36mg of e liquid. i smoked 35 a day and 18mg just didnt cut it for me, upped it to 36mg and didnt have any probs with cravings or anything, I would also try a mix of 50/50 best of both pg/vg, just get your self a couple of vv batterys either the twist or spinner or a couple of evod starter kits from myepack, looks a good deal. The link below is to a vendor who has some lovely juices and in high mg and 50/50 mix, code AAEC for 12% discount. www.health-e-vape.co.uk/pure-perfection-e-liquid-108-c.asp
