I can understand this ... as a seller, the amount of hassle you get when RM either takes 2 weeks to deliver a first class package or loses it altogether just ain't worth it if you are sure that there will be sufficient interest from locals who are happy to pick up. Plus you save on Paypal's fees which include postage as well as the value of the item.

yeah, makes me rage -- I'm always snooping around site. Can I recommend you try Local eBay deals if you want to see whats collect only in your area., off topic but theres often some great deals you never knew you wanted! bit like here.....

The item I want is something I have been keeping an eye out for for quite some time ( 6 months / ish ) now its turned up its bloody pickup only , just my luck.

I say this because there was once a dinner service I absolutley HAD to have,. so I bought, 1 mate collected local (Bristol) went to a concert mid Wales, handed it over to another pal, who I met up with on next concert and popped in boot of my car - drove home YAY!

It maybe because the weird way that R.M. class their packages now and then charge OTT for it, then if it goes missing e-bay are ALWAYS on the side of the buyer regardless of how much of a P*** the buyer is. Why not arrange your own courier, they will pick it up and deliver it to you at a good price if the seller is prepared to wrap it for you.......
