i recently bought an mvp version 2 from my e pack that im very happy with and have not smoked a roll-up for 6 days
the problem i have is that one of the iclear30 Clearomizers stopped working it just wont fire up, i also bought a protank 2 that will fire sometimes when i first connect it and have to play around with it to get it to work properly the iclear30 that i got with the mpv still works fine though and have never had a problem with it so just in case that one stopped working i bought an iclear30s from my e pack and again that will not fire, i have googled the problem and found lots of post about the centre pin being puched down to far because of over tightening so i gently lifted the pin but still no joy
i have also read that you can use a 510 to [510] Adapter/Extender so i wont over tighten again and as im very much a noob im not sure if thats right
any help will be very much appreciated

Hi Ray, if you have raised the 510 pin on the MVP, the next step is to check the 510 pin of the clearos that are not working. If the pin is recessed, lower it a little in the same way that you raised the pin on the MVP. Make sure that the 510 pin is not touchong the side as this will cause a short ( the pin should be central within the negative threaded portion ). Try that with one of the clearos and see if you are getting a good conection. Only screw the clearo onto the battery until it lightly touches.

thanks for the response mate that worked great thanks
was i right about those 510 to [510] Adapter/Extender or am i getting confused, are all mods like this, what i mean is do they all have this problem with connection and over tightning or is it hist a few, seems to me like the center pin on the mvp should be spring loaded so you get a good connection all the time

The problem is that even if there is a spring loaded 510 pin, if you force it down too far it will jam. The simple way to avoid the problem is to only screw the clearo on to the battery until it makes light contact. A 510 to 510 connector should prevent the problem but being careful in the first place is cheaper

That's what I thought Ros until I bought an Aspire. All my iclears could be screwed down level with the beauty ring but when I screwed the Aspire down to the beauty ring, it still wasn't making contact and I had to raise the 510 pin on the MVP. The next time I screwed an iclear on, there was a gap between the bottom of the iclear and the beauty ring. I have found that different clearos seem to have different lengths of 510 connections which is why I advocate only screwing on until contact is made, no matter what gap is left between the clearo and the beauty ring, if any.

the iclear30 that has always works sits flush with the beauty ring but when i connect the other one nothing and if i dont tighten it up enough the thing rattles
might just buy the A 510 to 510 connector and save any hassle as there only cheap
aonther question
i was looking at the my e pack site why is the innokin itaste134 so expensive compeared with the mvp

rayp40 it could because the itaste 134 is made from 4 times more metal than the MVP I find that the 510 airflow controller helps to make a connection with tanks/attys that wont fire up due to no contact. I have in my collection a KSD K-Max, which wont fire an iclear 30, but when I use the Airflow Controller it does. Hope it helps. Griff
