If I go for this mixing lark, I'm gonna need one hell of a lot of help from all you experts on here, coz I haven't the faintest idea where to start and I can see myself doing a lot of this and this and this whilst I'm trying to do this Good god, all I wanted originally was a sweetener Haha welcome to aaec toots. It always starts as one little thing. Huge mixing section to get your eyes round plus we are all here to help. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 Yeah, Roscopecotrain been looking at the mixing calculators in the mixing or mixology part of the forum and inputting some figures on some of them according to the nic amount in gms in the vg base liquid that thealchemist site supplies. Don't look too bad till it gets to percentage on flavour to use, got no clue what to put there and I see it completely changes the whole mixing guide when you change the percentage of flavour. So once mixed at that percentage you are sort of ummm stuck with that ratio for that mix, hence only mix 1 or 2 mls to start I would reckon. Better make sure I get a bigger bottle of sweetener too than I was going to originally get, could need quite a bit of that, coz I have a real sweet tooth you know. Now to choose which one single solitary flavour concentrate to start with, me thinks the strawberry & cream sounds rather nice. Would have gone for the honeydew melon, but don't like melon, but love honey.....why didn't they do a honey on it's own

I am currently using the Read Astaire concentrate (as are a few here are) and it gives great results.

toots - good on you - you'll have a load of fun and pleasure from that kit, and it'll work out cheaper buying the concentrates and bases in bulk for you in shipping charges. Start slowly, please ask away for any queries you have, and there are loads of recipes in the Mixology section to browse through too! Ask about percentages as some manufacturers' flavours are stringer than others. A good starting point is 10-12% as you can always add more, but you can't take it out again! Allow at least 2 weeks to steep your juices before using them (OK, we'll allow you a little bit to see what it's like!), so work ahead. After a month you'll be future-proofed, and never need to buy readymade juice ever again. Here starts he next and for many the most fun part of vaping - concocting your own recipes, and trying out others as well. Best of luck (not that you will need it!) Andy ETA: if you look around some of the vendors who sell flavour concentrates, they will sell in 30ml bottles as well as 10mls. Have a look on eBay for suppliers of PG and VG; there are more than one who sell in 500ml or 1l bottles. Nic base - buy 72mg strength (the strongest you can buy) which will last longer, although it will need more PG and VG to make up the quantity you require. Once again, the more quantity you buy the cheaper it becomes. I'm sure others will advise on where to go for larger quantities - I only ever buy 10ml at a time, due to space and financial considerations!

Hi Village idiot formerly tjlumle mostly I have 70pg/30vg, but I have got one of hangsens 50/50. I think I'll be making up 50/50 to start with as I seem to have developed a bit of an allergy to PG so was going to start using 50/50 to see how this allergy gets on before maybe going over to 100% vg. Not sure if I will like all vg but at least if I mix my own I will be able to make up a couple of ml's in 100% vg to see how I get on with it eh.

To make a more vg mix the nicotine you will be after is the 72mg vg if you buy pg the max you will be able to go down to is 50/50. If you are enjoying the mixing in a months time or so there is a thread on here for 500g and 1kg of 72mg vg nic it works out about £66 for 1kg ukric mixes it for ya so all ready to go but your only just starting leave it a while see if you enjoy first
