I think it's likely Jeremy hunt will get his way and here's why. I'm ne to this vaping lark avingCouncil only been participating a week or so but I'm astounded at how effective it is, not one cigarette or the desire forgone since I started. I was also amazed since joining this forum how vast and readily available all this vaping kit is, not to mention the minimal cost in comparison to smoking. As more and more people take up vaping and ditch cigs the vast tax the govt collect on cogs will continually decline. Despite there directive to ban cig advertising, stop displaying them in shops and say they want you to stop they are lying through their teeth. They know theyned the taxation and the last thing thet want is a cheap unregulated and effective alternative over which they have no control and little income from. Then we have the big cig companies making enormous profit through volume, these companies will be in cahoots with the politicians all of whom are lining their own pockets whilst raking in tax at the same time. I don't agree with the direction it will end up going butim afraid it's only a matter of time. Greg. Welcome to the vaping world. I would have agreed with you last year, or even earlier on this year, however people power is already working.
Take a look at some of the back editions of vapourtrails.tv
At the first vote in the EU we were defeated by a small majority, the second time round we won by roughly a 2/3 majority, the first time the voice of the general public has ever managed to reverse the position and done in a spectacular way. Believe it or not politicians do sit up and take notice when public opinion is voiced loudly enough.
We won a great victory that day, but unless we keep the pressure up it will come to naught. If we all do a little, write to your MP/MEP - visit them, contact your local paper - tell anyone you can what it means to you, even if that's your next door neighbour or someone in a bus queue, just tell someone. Encourage smokers to give it a go, give them some of your experience to help them find that first step. Use your PV when out and about, no don't rub it in peoples faces, but don't hide it away like a guilty secret.
Most of all be positive about vaping - what's not to like!

Mark, I hope your right but I find in the end money always wins. Let's hope im wrong. Vote Farage I'm trying to spread the word if only in a little way, I vape at work with my smoking colleagues and many express interest knowing I've been stood with them for years smoking and now I just use a new magic flute instead. Many ask where I got my Evod from so I've sent them links and handed out cards for my local juice factory. I'm off today but will see if there are any new converts tomorrow in the smoke shack.

Sorry but I wouldn't vote for Mr Forago if he were the only name on the ballot.
But what you say after, I would cast a vote for.

I seem to remember the government sought legal council on the matter some time ago. The advice was that making ecigs a medical product was very likely to be overturned in the courts. Nicotine addiction may or may not be a medical condition but vaping hasn't cured me - improved my health yes, but semi skimmed milk and low sugar museli do that too and they're not about to be called medicines.
