Just bought a Touchwood 18650 Mechanical Mod. Just checking if I should get: 1) Nipple Tops? The videos I've seen seem to use them, is that right 2) Protected or not. Will protected ones fit the Touchwood? 3) How many mAh? 2600 or 2000? 4) I want a battery Charger that turns itself off when batteries are charged, I don't want to wake up wondering! I'm planning on buying from Torchy the Battery Boy, I know he's a reputable seller, but how do Torchy's own brand stand up to Efest in the longevity stakes in the world of Vaping? Any other advice would be welcome, keep it simple tho', I'm a bit dim, but I have got a Multi-meter!

I would advise AW or Efest IMR batteries which are 2000 mAH hour unprotected batteries ... they don't have a protection chip as the protection is inbuilt in the form of the IMR safer chemistry construction.

Couldn't say which batteries fit a Touchwood, i don't own one, i would ask the vendor (or previous owner if from the classies). If you're planning to buy from Torchy it's cheaper to contact him via PM over the road on UKV, his prices to UKV forum members are cheaper than his Ebay shop & still with freepost. A battery charger is prolly my most used piece of kit so it's important to get a decent one, plenty people have Nitecore chargers & swear by them & say they do exactly what they're supposed to, they're a good price too. I have an Xtar SP2, it's got all the right algorithm thingies to look after your batteries & keep them in tip top condition plus it's programmable up to 2amps if you're in a rush but for a regular charging regime slow is better. Thumbs down for the SP2.... you need to buy spacers if you plan to charge 18350 batteries (none supplied) & there's only 2 charging bays which can be an issue if you use low capacity batteries or there's more than one vaper at home & it's not cheap (i think Vape Escape have them at around £27). Xtar has replaced the SP2 with the VP1 which also seems to be well respected but is even more expensive at £35. Enjoy your Touchwood, they look a lovely piece of kit.

I use Efest, AW. and Torchy, in mine (whatever I have basically) and the Torchy (IMR) are as good as any, but saying that my AW are quite used. Also use both flat and nipple top without problems - just remember the battery goes in negative side first - so sort of upside down.
