Chris I've tried all sorts of combinations and this one is the best - easy, works every time, great vape. I love it
The vid is for the 3.1 but it works great on the mini too

If it's shorting your coil is probably too low down and touching the base??

Has the larger post base turned a little, I found on mine That it was prone to turning just enough the allow arching between the two.

The only other thing I can think of is perhaps a tail of The wire sticking out and touching on the chimney, only a tiny clearance Compared with its larger brothers.

Getting the severe hump with it, so I've put it away for now......I got it wicked & coiled & reading 1.8ohms, but as soon as I put the plastic tank cover on, it's drops to anything between 0.3-0.8........fiddled with coil, but not making any difference...........coiled it 6 times now.....this could be back on the classies soon........... *don't think my fingers were built for 2.1's....................

That's kind of you Jason & I may well do that....I've had the base apart & put it back together & nothings touching that would cause a short....I reckon a micro-coil is the way to go, but I need to source some organic cotton first.......i really like the kayfun's, so I'm determined to get this up & running.

if the air control screw is in too far it can short on the pos post... try unscrewing it a bit and check the ohms.

PS: simple 2x2mm silica trimmed short and 4-wraps of .2 kanthal works well for me everytime (barely touching the base of the channels)

Chris, put the 3mm wick back in the cupboard and take out the 1.5mm. 2mm works ok too. You're probably shorting the coil on the top of the chimney by going round too Much wick. If you only have 3mm then just use a single length.
