Have been patiently waiting for my Nemesis clone to arrive on the slow boat from china ... Have been reading about the conversion of the switch to a magneto type magnetic switch from the original spring loaded switch ... To the point where I've ordered two magnets off tinternet to do the mod myself ... Has anyone here done the same ? And was it worth doing? All this waiting makes me restless !!

I've got a genuine Nemesis and the advantage of magnets is they don't weaken like springs so can always stand up without firing.

Seems like a really simple modification so I'll give it a go

The downside is the magnets are very fragile & if you drop mod its most likely to shatter magnets. I have 2 nemesis clones & employ the age old saying if it aint broke don't fix it, mine work fine with the springs

I've bought 2 19mm x 14mm x 1 mm from magnet guys for £1.96 delivered ... If it works great ... If it doesn't I've wasted 2 quid ... Can't see a downside really !

They look like very different sizes to the ones others have been using....

The genuine magnets are 17mm OD, 10mm ID and 1 mm thick ... it seems to be impossible to find exact replicas of this size according to various forum discussions ... anything over 19mm OD or 10 ID seems to give problems with jambing.

The internal diameter doesn't need to be spot on .. The ones I've ordered have a large internal diameter ... There's a couple of u tube tutorials and they say it doesn't really matter too much as long as the outer diameter is 19mm and the inner isn't smaller than 10mm
