a replacement tube for my neighbour's wall hung electric fire.
He has been back to B&Q where he bought it (about 2 years ago) but they have discontinued this and do not have spares. Details as follows:-
BROOKLYN WALL HUNG ELECTRIC FIRE (05189939)
Fluorescent Tube (spare use) T4 16W
I have Goggled and checked eBay and anything else I can think of, with no success.
I am hoping you clever peeps can help even if this model (above) is discontinued, is there anything compatible??
Hoping you can help. Cheers MM

Right! I forgot to include that it has to be (pink light)!! It is for one of those flame effect fires and the pink light gives colour to the flames.
The length is 46cm 9mm (with the sticky out connection bits) or 45cms 4mm without.
You can tell we are very techy !!
I've had a quick look on your link but can't see anything with 'pink light'.
Over to you again - many thanks MM

Well done Jason MM I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is one of those covers that is on your neighbour's flourescent tube to make it pink If so, then he should be able to remove the cover to re use it on a new tube.

Hi Jason, my neighbour has brought the tube up to me. Written on the actual tube is:
TA 16W 1500K (Then the Euro sign RoHS ) ('pink light' on paperwork)
I showed him the coversheild link ^^^^ but he needs a working tube even if he can't get PINK
Sorry this is all a bit muddled but I don't know what I'm talking about!!!! Thanks for your help. MM

Thanks all - pulling my hair out here!! Nothing quite matches up.
Jason - opening post - bought it in B&Q and he has been back there first of all. That fire is discontinued now and they have no spares or anything that would match.
Blakey #8 Thanks for link - I have been through it but nothing matches (even disregarding Pink)
I have got the tube in front of me now - it looks a white pearly colour - he says it lights up pink when switched on in the fire. Chrissie there is no cover on this.
He had himself rung around several places - someone suggested Google so he came to ask me. I said I'm sure our clever men/ladies on here would soon find it for me!!!
Can't think of anywhere else to try. Cheers MM xxx

Hi MM As Blakey says, your friends fire was produced by Valor and I think the only way of finding the exact part is to get the details from their technical support department. The number is 0844 8711 565
