I'd be tempted to just try a plain "warm" bulb for now and see how that looks, usually there is some colouring in the plastic it illuminates that might just be enough if the bulb isn't to bright.

just a quick message...
I use pink lights in my fish tank for growing plants, they are t4's... they are quiet extortionate prices though but if this is your only option... not sure if you will find the specified size though... mine are over a meter long but I have some about 30cm too. I think the 30cm ones are about 16w.
EDIT: ignore me, I think mine are t8 but not sure I will post back when I am more awake. RE:EDIT. yep mine are T8's sorry to confuse.. the ''other'' bulbs available for fishtanks are t5's.

Update.
I called in on Bill (neighbour) when I got back this morning. He did ring phone number (Jason's post #12).
He was put in touch with a Plumbing & Heating company, which. by chance, is in Tonbridge - just bus ride from us. (bit of luck) So he went to visit them, they are trying to track this down and will ring him?
Details: Blu-Topaz Home Appliances Ltd. Part No.5117146 Model No. BREC 15O6 15OOW
Whilst I was in his flat, I made him dismantle his fire !! so that I could see what the tube looked like inside the fire. It is definitely an opaque white colour. When switched on it glows pink (not a sleeve). The crinkled back drop makes it look like flames.
If any one can find any other info on this I (and Bill) would be grateful.
Cheers all - for your help so far. MM

MM, I'm sure using a clear tube & a pink sleeve that Jason linked to should work?

Failure to find anything other than the information already recieved I would suggest trying to contact Newey and Eyre specialist lamp division , if you can find the number ( sorry I don't have it to hand ) they are a very helpful bunch , but you will need the details written on the lamp ( if they are still legible )
