Have set my bookmarks and they are there when i look but i notice i'm not always getting the emails........any ideas why?

Nicky, are the threads you aren't getting updates from actually being updated?

Plus if you go into your profile & check on bookmark preferences, are all the threads you have bookmarked in there with the email preference?

Those were my next questions, but if it's random threads then I cant see that being the problem.

Maybe the board is set to send the reminder out every 5 mins and you get a few replies within those 5 mins ?

You could be right Jemima - I'll try experimenting tomorrow when I'm not so tired

Also, maybe the board doesnt resend the email untill after you have actually checked the thread? Otherwise you might have an inbox full of messages sayin the thread has been replied to 15 times instead of just the one reminder.

I know some forum background settings only send emails once an hour and that kind of thing to save clogging up the sytem resources on busy boards.

Or maybe its just a lazy forum lol

Forums can be tricky to figure out some days lol
