I agree that all angles will help - but just so long as people don't feel like

someone else is going to do all the work - our power is in the mass individual stories

People power is exactly what we need you're right but we also need to know what the hell is going on to be able to act.
I think that if we can get most vapers into this the powers that be will get a better idea of the global size of the e-cig Phenomenon

We as individuals must continue the fight as an extra avenue by harassing our MEP`s & now more important our MP`s.

Remind the "Bastards" they work for US, and if not prepared to listen. VOTE THEM OUT.

The problem is that other self appointed guardians, such as some major charities,

Got to admit that at the moment I'm being a tad cautious about this as well & I certainly wouldn't consider making a donation until it's up & running. After all, most of the founder members are vendors, so maybe best to leave it up to them to make the initial donations to get this off the ground.

Signed up + made a very modest donation .... as others have said its no good leaving all the campaigning to one group WE still need to be as actively involved in anything + everything . This org. appears a promising development .

That's exactly what I heard. One respected vendor has asked for their name to be removed today, at least until more talks have taken place.

I'm treading cautiously too. It's a good idea but I want to know more before committing myself. I am already very active in the fight to keep our ecigs from excessive regulation and not convinced we need anything else at this late stage. However, my mind is always open. I suppose we may know a little more about what is happening this week.

Or how about contacting the founding members, who are apparently signed up to run it
or at least up to the point a board can be voted upon.
So far the only "founding member" I have heard from,
was unaware of their status in the organisation.

We are a non-profit organisation. We are here to become the muscle of vaping worldwide. We are here to defend against dubious politicians, rogue scientists, controlled media, bias public organisations, and anybody else who hides behind them. Our approach will be swift and powerful, with a team of scientists as advisors, a small army of white collar solicitors as executors, and a monstrous PR agency to spread our word.
We believe that Vaping is not smoking and eliquid is not a medicine, neither tobacco. In fact this is our only policy. This organisation is destined to become massive. It has to be in order to achieve it's purpose. It will be supported by scientists. lawyers and PR. Whenever it's necessary we will defend hard and we will strike at their weakest point. We have nothing to hide - they do.
We may not be able to promise you a safe haven for the vaping cause, but we can promise to all of you that once WVO is operational everyone will have to think very carefully before attacking vaping again - we will respond fast and strike hard.

I hope I can answer your question above simply. All the founding members are in the list, they are company members (ie, not individuals) or reviewers that will be making the initial donations to the cause. Their initial roles within the WVO is simply to help the launch by spreading the word on forums and other mediums in their own countries. I have to say that I think that they have done a very good job as the word certainly seems to be 'out there' and lots of people are discussing this now.

Their role after that is simple - they don't have one! Other than being a standard member of the WVO. They, like you and the other members of the WVO, will have the rights to stand/vote in the elections that will be held in each country for a director/representative that will work on behalf of their nation/region. All of these positions in every country will be voted for. I do hope that these 'founder members' will also step up to help organise this.

I hope that in the very near future the WVO will be able to employ a 'Co-ordinator' to head this up. It would be good if this person could communicate with every elected person in every country to co-ordinate any action that is to be taken on behalf of the WVO. This person will also be collating information from each country/region about what is happening and how we can help as a large group. Be it financially, legally or possibly in terms of organising mass protests etc. They will not only be communicating with members of the WVO but also members of other organisations that are well established to see how the mass numbers that we hope to obtain worldwide can help them too. After all, we all want the same outcome - to continue vaping without having such stringent measures put in place that it takes all the fun out of it!

This role will obviously take a very special person, and I believe it will be a very demanding full time position.
