Just a quickie - bought Epson Stylus SX425W - I asked the young assistant to make sure it would take a CISS system. which it does. It also has its own scanner - so mine will have to go!! Haven't even unpacked it yet but it looks a big booger!! I will have to have a reshuffle around. Back later MM

Had a quick look on eBay and the CISS is a bit more expensive than normal at around £50 but you can buy the refillable cartridges at around £26. I'm on my phone at the minute so can't post the links until I get home.

At least with it being wireless you'll have flexibility where to put it I've got the SX515W, I don't think there's much difference. It took me days to set it up with this new laptop because I now have Windows 7 64-bit and the original set-up CDs don't work. Another reason, though, was my doziness One very bad thing though, which I forgot but which (I think) applies to all Epson printers these days - you can't use draft mode to save ink - it's almost invisible > scylla

Scyll - I'm not sure what the 'wireless' bit means. Haven't got the manual out yet. Does it mean doesn't need connection to puter? It's still in its box. Now, don't all shout at me at once!!!! Everything going wrong this morning - general real life not computer world!!! Back later again..... MM

Yes, MM, you don't need it connected with a wire - although the setup instructions may ask you to wire it up first. Sorry that real life is being a pain See ya later! scylla x

Yes Scyll, I have been thinking of my techie man but am saving him till my new place!! Can I just shut everything down and disconnect and hope it will all reconnect at new place?? Hopefully, it is all backed up via Microsoft own back up system???? If you or Camper or anyone think I should use other back up, please let me know. Just had a phone call -- I am going to be a Great Grandma - my lovely eldest grandaughter, Emma. Due in March. Bit disappointed that she is not married yet but she has been many years with Will and she is 30 years old now. But she's still my baby!!! MM But she's still my baby!!!!

Transporting PC to new place:As long as you shut down everything properly and cushion the PC against bumps you shouldn't have a problem. I'm not a good girl when it comes to back-ups, but you could save precious data to CD/DVD if you want to be extra secure. I've never looked into Microsoft backups even Probably a good idea to post in the Computers subforum to attract knowledgable advice scylla x

dont bother backing up mag theirs no need.
take a picture of the back of the pc so you know which wire goes in were and try to make sure you get your usbs in the right place apart from that its a doddle.
